12oz bottle from Wegman’s, Buffalo. Slightly hazy amber with a loose white head and moderate carbonation; citrusy aroma; rather thin with a bready body and some soft grapefruity citrus to finish. Reasonable, and good to see a bottle conditioned beer.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours gold with a thick white head. Aroma is citra hops all day long - tangerines, mango, pineapple & grapefruit. Taste matches beautifully with a toasty malt mid palate and easy bitter finish. Very nicely done APA. Would make an awesome ’go to’ beer.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the tasting room, served in a tasting glass. Pours clear golden with a moderate off-white head that mostly remains and leaves a small amount of fine lace. The nose has big, pungent notes of citrus, fruit, candi sugar, pale malts and subtle pine. The flavour is slightly towards the bitter end with big resinous, slightly catty hops matched with slightly dry pale malts. The finish is medium in length, dry and slightly hoppy. On the palate it is light in body with a dryish texture and soft carbonation. Overall a very nice aromatic pale ale. The nose is beautiful but the body doesn’t quite match up. 2014-04-26

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Appearance: There’s a minimal haze to this deep gold-hued body. Frothy, white head.
Smell: There’s a light pale maltiness given a smear of cereal sweetness, slender but sufficient hoppiness, and a just a touch of yeast.
Taste: Pale malts, though light, with a medium level of cereal sweetness. Limited hop flavors of fruit, citrus, and florals. Modestly bitter. Southern Live, while not Dead, closes out with a fairly neutral finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Sensibly smooth mouthfeel.
Overall: For what it is, it’s still a relatively pleasing beer.

Pours pale, faintly hazy, yellow gold, minimal head. Aroma is a very clean citrus and resin. Flavor is balanced lemon zest hop and faint yeast and malt. Light on the tongue and very subtle. Particularly effervescent. Classy.

A really bitter beers with small hints of fruitiness. Very bitter taste and smell make up this beer. Decent bitterness in the aftertaste that fills the upper part of the mouth a little bit. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.
