3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Had a pint of this at Social Gastropub. Generally clear and golden with some decent foam. This beer was full of tropical and citrus fruit with the tropical out front. Grapefruit underneath. Some malts added nicely.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: DEC 3, 2014 330ml bottle served in a tulip glass.
A: Pours a slightly hazy orange color forming a medium and bubbled white head with medium to low retention and some lacings left in the glass. Lots of particles floating around that I suppose are the result of dry hopping
S: Great nose. Very flowery, fruity and piny. Strong notes of tropical fruits, pine and a touch of citrus. Strong notes of pale malts, mainly Maris Otter. Reminded me the Brewdog Punk IPA. End is a bit earthy. Refreshing...
T: Slightly sweet malts in the beginning. It’s always nice the combination of Maris Otter malts and piny hops. Makes it more refreshing and with a strong tropical fruits character. Moderate hop bitterness in the end
M: Light body. Medium carbonation. Something to be mention is the water quality of Southern Tier that gives the beer a quite smooth texture. Piny and fruity aftertaste
O: Great drinkability. An APA that could be easily classified as an IPA. Quite hoppy, refreshing and... Delicious

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A clear orange amber hue with a thick white head that had nice retention. A slight effervescent quality. Aroma was a nice mix of floral notes which were almost like talcum powder. Some grapefruit hips and a mild sense of bread like malts. Flavor was nice and balanced. Grapefruit hops were not overpowering and floral notes were just right. Finish was smooth and carbonation was mild.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottles. Hazy golden color with a prominent white head. Nice lacing as well. Aroma is hops, orange, distinct is maltiness. Flavor is balanced. Hops, some lemon and grapefruit up front give way to a maltiness in the middle. Hoppy finish. Also a pretty nice mouthfeel. Slight creaminess to it. The key point of this beer is its balance. Wow. Very good.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bright lilly and grapefruit nose, some faint tangerine notes also detected. Shimmering amber, thick yellow head. Lilly flavor, a bit savory, thyme. Orange peel finish. Good malt backbone. Medium body, low bitterness. Nice balance, tasty.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – Pours a hazy orange color with a thick white head of two finger height. The head, being thick, retains very well, slowly fading over time to leave a medium level of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is mainly of a grainy and light wheat aroma mixed with some aromas of lemon citrus and a bit of grapefruit. Beyond the lemon and grapefruit hop smells are some notes of pine and herbal hops giving a moderately hoppy aroma overall.
Taste – The taste begins with a muted grain taste of some wheat and smooth malt. There is a light level of orange sweetness upfront which quickly decays as flavors of lemon and grapefruit hop come to the tongue. Some more grainy flavors as well as some taste of a more earthy and herbal hop taste come to the tongue. In the end, with the mix of more dry malt and hop flavors, one is left with a dry and medium hop bitter flavor lingering on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is on the medium side in terms of its thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is rather average to maybe just above average. Fairly fitting for the style and it is a good compromise between keeping it on the more refreshing side, while also allowing the malty and hop flavors to be more fully sensed by the taste buds.
Overall – A decent brew overall. A little on the drier side for a APA for me with a slightly unbalanced hop flavor (It is just a combination of hop that leaves a rather strange aftertaste). Even so it is still somewhat tasty and a good one to try as I think may would enjoy it..

Pours cloudy and pale yellow with a creamy white head. Hoppy aroma with lemon peel, grass, and grapefruit. Strong yeast character that I’m not totally excited about.
