3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
The head was fairly small. It’s hazy and lighter in color than expected. Aroma and taste were of hops and grapefruit. It’s thinner than some APAs. It’s a pleasant beer and would be a good session beer if desired.

12oz bottle - Nice golden hazy orange color with thin white head. Citrusy nose. Lemon, grapefruit, refrigerated flowers, light roasted grain malt, and something more biscuit-like than nutty in the flavor. Just enough balance to make it drinkable and enjoyable.

On draught at Winking Lizard. The beer pours a clear golden color with a medium thick white head that dissipates gradually to a film. Partial rings of lacing. Aroma of citrus, hops and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of grassy hops, citrus and biscuit malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a grassy hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
DATE TASTED: December 3, 2015 ... GLASSWARE: Barley Creek pint... OCCASION: prepping for a good Friday a bit early on Thursday... APPEARANCE: hazy, busy, lively body that offers a mountain of cloud--puffy, white, with crags and nooks like a rock face...its resilience is noticeable...excellent half-finger head laces admirably into camo-like patterns....AROMA: bright punch of citrus--grapefruit and orange peel; the breadiness--as promised by the label--is appreciable... PALATE: a rather rounded, easy-drinking pale ale, with a smooth, undistinguished finish; a bit dry for a pale...light to medium-bodied... TASTE: a strange, lemony flavor pervades the citrus profile, with the malts wrestling for control over the experience... enough dough to mistake the drink for a something more British...worth noting the orange one more time... OVERALL: tough to say for a Southern Tier, but not an improvement over their original pale... applaud them for trying something new or different, but the hops are blanketed by malts and the hops are one-dimensional and soft.... not really what was hoped for...
