When empirical and creative impulses collide, the result is often timeless. The classic utility-art aesthetic of the coffee maker is an example of design and engineering working in concert. It is through similar cooperation that the simple bitter cocoa bean is transformed into a sweet treat. As scientists, our brewers utilize their materials to exacting standards. As artists, they couldn’t resist the temptation to combine the best flavors of two of our highly acclaimed Blackwater Series Imperial Stouts, Jahva and Choklat. Alone each is perfect, but together as Mokah, they are an inimitable expression of two of the world’s most sought after flavors. Enjoy Mokah stout with - or as - your favorite dessert! Cheers!

Pours thick and black, completely opaque. The aroma is just like fresh roasted coffee and Hershey's syrup. The palate is similar, rich and sweet. One-noted but impressively rich and almost overwhelming. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Another great blackwater series beer. Pours a beautiful deep black with a tan head. Smells like the other blackwater beers. Coffee, chocolate and vanilla. Taste is very sweet, with cream, chocolate, coffee and vanilla, followed by a bit of brown sugar. Had on tap at Green Dragon.

Pours a pretty thick brownish bubbly head and has an extremely dark brown appearance. Dirty lacing splatter display. Aromas are very much mocha, with a bit of chocolate and roasted malts. Hint of molasses as well. Carbonation is above average, with medium retention. Flavours of mocha, chocolate and coffee are fairly strong right away. Alcohol taste comes through a bit. Creamy mouthfeel, almost silky. Strong bitter chocolate aftertaste. This ones at 11.2% abv. Really good stuff.

The aroma is a rich coffee and a rich chocolate. Pours black with light brown head fully diminishing and a little lacing. The taste is bitter, yet a little sweet. The body is medium, the texture creamy, the carbonation lively and the finish long. A VERY GOOD BEER!!!

Poured into a snifter. 3.5 A: Black color. One finger of frothy/creamy tan head. Retention is okay given the ABV and a short ring of lacing is left. 4.5 S: Smells like a mix of amazing and heaven. Rich, silky sweet Hershey’s chocolate. Mild roast coffee. Big sweetness, chocolate domination, with caramel, gooey fudge, and roasted barley. 5.0 T: Damn, this is something. It tastes a lot like Choklat, but not quite as... chocolate-ty. That doesn’t mean it’s not as intense. The added punch comes from a healthy coffee component. Vanilla, fudge, and plenty of roastiness that is balance out by the sweetness. 4.25 M: Heavier medium to heavy body. Good moderate carbonation. Silky smooth on the tongue but could use a bit more creaminess. Still, really good here as well. Alcohol isn’t perceived at all. 4.5 D: I live for beer like this. So tasty but so drinkable as well. ★ 894 characters DavoleBomb, Sep 18, 2015
