Aug 24, 2008 Bottle: Damn near black with a creamy brown head. Massive aroma of coffee and sweet cocoa. Very true to the oatmeal stout class. Taste is smoky and roasty malt with some light bits of burnt malt. Coffee and some light bitters. More of that oatmeal feel. Rich and potent. Might be picking up a little bit of tobacco? Wow, this was solid. Thanks beerbill!

Aug 23, 2008 22 oz. Bomber: Jet black with a brown head. Strong alcohol in the aroma as well as chocolate and coffee. With the consistency of a warm milkshake, this brew makes you scream HELLO! Rich, thick flavors of chocolate, alcohol, cough syrup. I definitely see the molasses in the flavor. WOW. This brewskie is phenomenal. Thanks Jake65 for sharing this gem.

Aug 23, 2008 Ink black pour with a dark tan small head. Lots of sweet molassas, brn sugar and a bit of smoke. Lovly rich carmelized surgar flaror. Smoke and roastd but lacking much of the bitternes o an imperial. Thin but very slick feel. Th oats are perfect. Lingering burnt suger lavor.
If anthing...a bit sweet.

Aug 23, 2008 22oz Bottle Pours out a black topped with a tan head. Aroma of the 11% some smoke and plenty of chocolate. Tast of the sweetness plenty oats. WOW this was GREAT. Very thick. Thanks Jake You the man for this one.

Aug 18, 2008 After Southern Tier Choklat, Iwas stoked about trying this one, but found it underwhelming. Nice palate, full body, but boring flavor and aroma.

Aug 15, 2008 Updated: Sep 12, 2009Bottle at home ... sweet tobaco oat ... rich toffee ... sweet molasis syrupy ... little alcohol ... little yeast ... little vanilla ... roast chocolate ... quite a bit of chocolate in background ... wonderfull smooth and silky ... i rated it 4 when i first rated it but it grown on me the further into it i got... Oh this seriosly need a Side by side with the Chokolate Its just a shame by the time you add international postage this turns into a dear beer to have often.

Aug 11, 2008 Thanks to July Santa for this great bottle. Dark pour with mocha head. Aroma of licorice, oatmeal, coffee and soft hops. Full bodied with flavors of chocolate, vanilla, oats and some sugary sweetness. Really enjoyed. Thanks Santa!

Aug 9, 2008 bomber. Pours black with a brown head which dissipated quickly. nose was of licorice, coffee and alcohol. Taste was sweet chocolate, oat and molasses. Mouthfeel was medium-to-thick with alcohol noticeable. Very good, although I liked their Jah-va better.
