Commercial Description:
“brewed for the harvest” This beer begins in spring when oat seeds are sown as soon as the soil can be worked. Meanwhile, select types of barley are planted with hopes that Mother Nature will be kind. Our brewers wait patiently until the legumes are mature and ready for the scythe. Upon delivery to the brewery, these ingredients are mixed together in the mash tun where they steep, creating a rich molasses-like liquid. Spicy hops are boiled with the thick brew, giving balance and complexity. Brewers yeast feasts upon the rich sugars, concluding its transformation into oatmeal stout. Pour Oat into a snifter, allow its thick tan head to slowly rise, releasing unbridled aromas. The color of Oat is as dark as a moonless night. The first sip reveals Oat’s thick and nourishing taste. Like a haversack to a horse, a bottle of this stout is a meal in itself. Enjoy responsibly. 11.0% abv • 238º L

Pitch black appearance with a small, mocha colored head and little lacing. Aroma blends chocolate, molassas, soy sauce and roasted nuts. Smooth, full bodied, lightly carbonated, almost syrupy, mouthfeel. Sweet malt taste, meagerly hopped, layered with dark fruit, molassas, chocolate, chicory and toffee. Durable finish with the alc kicking in late.

22 oz bottle. Dark dark brown pour with a light head. The aroma is strong with chocolate sweetness. Very inviting. The stuff tastes like a 3-Musketters Bar soaked in brandy. The only thing that I don’t like about it and what ultimately drug my score down was the fact that it is too much like milk chocolate and not dark chocolate (of which I am the bigger fan). Mouth feel is very creamy. A good brew, no doubt, but not the flavor profile I like the most.

First impression is that this is kinda fruity and not overly stout-like. Aroma is fruity and higher alcohol. Dull dark malt. Not overwhelming, but nice. Decent legs almost no head retention. Flavor is sweet thick chocolate but fruit totally dominates. Touch of bitter roast, but so subdued because of the left over gravity that it is almost annoying and frustrating. The palate is fizzy and chocolate with a lot of cream. Dense.

Bomber thanks to artusory. Pours a thick black color with an awesome deep tan head that left nice lacing. Aroma of light coffee, some chocolate, and a bit of licorice and alcohol. Sweet, thick maltiness in the opening leads into a full chocolate middle that is followed by an roasty, oaty finish that coats the palate. Nice, thick stout with a bunch of taste. I really enjoyed this one. Thanks a bunch Ryan.

Very dark with only a small tan head forming after a rigorous pour. Aroma is licorice and chocolate right off the bat. The flavor is thick with chocolate and roasted flavors coming through.

pours a dark blackish brown with a brown head. aroma of roasty coffee, sweet chocolate, alcohol, milk, molasses, and some hop to balance it out. taste is chocolate, coffee, roast malt, a little alcohol, molasses, toffee, & a touch of pine. potent & thick, just the way i like it! mouthfeel is heavyy, thick, creamy & oily. leaves a great lingering warming bitter mocha flavor. if you can find this (it took me a couple months to, and i live 15 minutes from the brewery), try it for sure! an excellent offering, highly reccomended!

a meal in itself. A sipper that goes down well with a meal. Very satisfying. Thick black and an aroma that is chocolatey and somewhat hoppy.

22 oz bottle. Pours a thick, dark brown with a thin crema ring. Nose of prunes, coffee, chocolate and oats. Super saturated molasses and dark chocolate. Over the top sweet with some coffee and orange peel to provide contrast. Tasty but a bit too much at times.
