3.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
The color of this beer a slight reddish brown with a minimal off-white head that disappears quickly, and the aroma is yeasty and has a touch of nutmeg. The taste is quite sour, a touch bitter, and slightly umami but is nothing too special; also, the palate has a medium body, a soft carbonation, long finish, and a oily texture.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Village Wine and Spirits in Athens. Mild piney hop nose. Bright reddish-brown color. Hop-heavy initial / mid palate goes to an unusual twisting back and forth between the hops and the malt; sort of a balancing act? / hops remain on the tongue for a bit. Medium body. Very nice stuff. But pretty damn hoppy for a winter ale.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Smell of bread with a hint of bitterness. Dark amber colour with a tiny head that disappears quicker than santa on xmas eve. Sweet tasting, malty but balanced with some nice pine bitterness at the end. Not a very exciting beer, but will keep my spirits up and keep me warm on a winter day :)

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at home. Aroma of dusty hops, burnt orange, rubber. Kind of light bodied for the ABV, Tastes of lightly roasted malt, cedar, leather, tobacco. Overly bitter, almost tannic. Kind of strange, but drinks easily.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
2/2/13. Bottle. Pours dark green-gold with a thin but sticky white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, fruity, berries, earthy, caramel. Taste is sweet, fruity, malt, somewhat creamy. Highly drinkable. This has to come in low for IBUs. Chewy mouth feel. Some nice carbonation. Almost a soda pop like quality. I really enjoyed this.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
0.33l bottle. This is a near-clear dark golden one with a shockingly small and quickly sidesticking off-white top. On the nose itís a bit strange. Somewhat almost acidic with spices, dishwasher gloves, sweet caramelized green berries and thatís about it. A bit strange. It has a average carbonation level and a soft oily mouthfeel. More slightly oaky-acidic flavors with tobacco, wood, some cigar, bitter marmalade, roasted pumpkin and a lasting bitterness. Ends with traces of natreen artificial sweetener, plastic and tea in the quite drymouthing finish and aftertaste. I know "old ale" is a wide genre, but was not expecting this. Still, an interesting winter/autumn ale. 23.12.2012
