3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Courtesy of Santa.
The body is a dark ruddy brown with a firm, creamy and quite lasting off white head. Very attractive beer.
The aroma is hoppy with some sweet crystalized sugar spiked malt and a faint hint of toastiness.
Fore is medium hop bitter with pine notes, medium sweetness malts and more mild toastiness. The aroma tells yhou exactly what to expect. Added warmth gives it nutty and sweeter malt flavors. No real faults with it. No real stellar pluses either, save the beautiful appearance.

Decent dense creamy head of bright white bubbles. Light carbonation. Interesting aroma with leather, malts and some spicy and piney hops. Color is a dark reddish brown. Little bit of roasted malts and a big handful of nuts. Good hop bitterness and dryness. Almost chalky. Little dried peanut skins in there also. Finish is dry and bitter. Little alcohol warming. A pretty good brew.

Here is a very good beer. This beer tastes like winter feels. In a good way though. This would be an excellent beer after a good game of ice hockey.

Dark orange in color. Great aroma. Great hop taste at the end. Can barely taste the alcohol. After my first sip, I thought..........this is a great beer!

Orangy brown color with a large bubbly head. Very nice aroma-sweet and spicy. Has a very nutty, molasses taste with some hop.Very smooth and easy to drink. Very slight alcohol is detectable. All in all a good brown ale.

UPDATED: SEP 14, 2006 Bottle thanks to Rudolph. My drunk ass left the first bottle at Coles, so he brought me another on the next visit in exchange for some Terrapin. Pours deep amber with a frothy white head. Malty aroma of sweetened tea and spicy hops. Mouthfeel is medium, with low carbonation. Lots of caramel and nuts in the malt profile, almost british like. Not thick, full, or sticky feel going down. Spicy and medium bitter finish. This sort of like a hoppy nut brown ale on steriods.

hazy brownish mahogony color w/ a gigantic white fluffy head. Aroma is quite sweet lots of carmel malts a light cinamon and other spices and some grassy hop hints w/ a light touch of vanilla. Palate is full & creamy well coated. Flavor is a full carmel malt w/ some nutty pieces.. almsot like what I’d imagine an imperial brown ale might be. Pretty good but nothing special.

Thanks to jsquire. The beer pours to a hazy dark chestnut brown body with a huge foamy off-white head. The aroma is intensely malty with sweet molasses, sorghum, barley, tobacco. The flavor is nutty like a brown ale. Walnuts and peanuts. Lightly spicy with nutmeg or cardamom. The palate lingers with the nutty flavors. Lightly dry, smooth, creamy. Nice carbonation pop.

Has a light spicy nose, with some ginger and cardammon. Some caramel biscuit and dried plum. Tough of butterscotch. Mild fruity hops atop sweetness but mild. Medium dark brown clear with thin off-white lacing head. Body is medium watery with a healthy dose of carbonation. Just a bit of carbonic tang with each swallow. Starts with semi-dry roasted malty sweetness. Good hit of caramel and chocolate malt. Mild spicyness to the final end of the swallow, mixed with a pretty good dose of dry roasted bitterness. Has still a semi-sweet yet acidic tang in the after. Bit of ginger and allspice. Decent quaff.
