Spice and pine aroma, failry light, well balanced.
Fine, grass, peppermint, long lovely finish. after4ever (2711), Brier, Washington, USA May 29, 2009 12-oz. Pours a fairly hazy medium coppery gold. Loose, thin white head. Has a big perfumey floral nose for a second, which fades away until it somehow goes from that to a pile of old wet grass. Not very appetizing, kind of stale-pilsner-y. Crisp, sparkling body, somewhat watery...is this really an APA? Getting serious pilsner signs here. Sour wet grass on the mid-palate, followed by a rather vomitous resiny note at the end. Not at all sure what went wrong here. darn1207 (529), Tallahassee, Florida, USA May 25, 2009 bottle. clear gold pour with a thin white ring of head and some soapy stick. aroma is tropical fruit - pineapple and grapefruit - also pine a very faint spices. taste is pretty straightforward: light malts mixed with a light citrus bitterness. thinnish texture. light and drinkable. obguthr (987), Poquoson, Virginia, USA May 22, 2009 Strong pineapple and mango bouquet. Clear golden, thin head, nice lacing. Doughy citrus flavor. Subdued, but lasting grapefruit finish. Could be an IPA. bitbucket (2026), Kirkland, Washington, USA May 22, 2009 Bottle at beer:30. Pours hazy gold with a thick, lacy and persistent off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit, bread and grass. Light body, watery texture with moderate carbonation. Taste follows what my nose told me to expect. Soft grapefruit rind and earth finish. It kinda lacks the "peachy" quality I enjoy in APAs, but that’s a quibble.
