Commercial Description:
When Phin and Matt sat down to collaborate on their new beer, they knew it had to be different if they were to call it extraordinary. "Let sprinkle it with fairy dust and wave our magic wands," said Phin. "No way," said Matt, "We've got to do better than that. This beer has to be better than any other in the galaxy." "Let's do some market research." So the two strapped on their rocket pack packs and traveled to the intergalactic beer store. After sampling an array of beers from acrossed the galaxy, the duo hit on an idea. "I've got it" exclaimed Matt, "we'll use vast amounts of whole hops, the finest malt, and put a little more love in every batch." "Eureka!" shouted Phin. And thus became a beer so fresh and tasty the duo put their names on it. 37 IBU's, 5.6% ABV

Pours with a crystal clear, golden body topped by a medium thick head with good lacing. It’s slightly sweet yet bitter with piney and grassy hop notes and just the right amount of malt balance. Light to medium bodied, smooth and a touch dry.

Taste 2/9 Bottle. Clear golden body thin head. Aroma: Yeasty must and brite hops. Taste: Almost a cross between an ESB a Pilsner and a Pale ale. Spicy, yeasty and crisp. A little strange but no too bad.

Gotta agree with the low ratings. High marks for creativity, but I feel like I can taste the terroir in the bottle - and not in a good way. Reminds me of my younger days, playing in the weeds across from my house. Did they even roast the malt??

Bottle thanks to decaturstevo. Pours a golden yellow with an annoyingly large lumpy loose white foam. Aroma of grassy, spicy, herbal hops, slightly fruity pale malts. Taste is thin, honey, fruits, apples, and a light grassy hop finish with an odd aftertaste.

Bottle from Wine Specialist. Dark gold color with a fluffy white head. Nice citrus hop aroma. Head does some lacing. Medium body with mild carbonation. Flavor is a bit kandi, some citrus, some roast malt, but the ale is rather astringent. Something like a very nice "light" Belgian. This could be my "goto" beer. If the world quit producing new beers. Seems to be a bit under-rated.

12oz bottle from Orland Park Binny’s single rack. Pours clear orange with white head. Aroma is hops, citrus, pine and sweet fruits. Flavor is candied sugar, pine, citurs, fruit and some hops. Wierd flavor for an APA. Has a wierd flavor that is not good. The worst beer I have had from this brewery which I really like.

2/1/09 - Bottle pours golden with foamy white head, decent lacing. Piny nose with bread. Taste is unnecessarily astringent and bitter with Band Aid and mild sweetness. Umm, not so much.
