Feb 21, 2009 12oz bottle from Orland Park Binny’s single rack. Pours clear orange with white head. Aroma is hops, citrus, pine and sweet fruits. Flavor is candied sugar, pine, citurs, fruit and some hops. Wierd flavor for an APA. Has a wierd flavor that is not good. The worst beer I have had from this brewery which I really like.

Feb 15, 2009 2/1/09 - Bottle pours golden with foamy white head, decent lacing. Piny nose with bread. Taste is unnecessarily astringent and bitter with Band Aid and mild sweetness. Umm, not so much.

Feb 8, 2009 Bottle. Pours a coppery color, a little cloudy. Not much head. Has a sweet initial aroma, a little fruity (apricot). Light body, crisp with mild carbonation. Flavor was sweet but I pick up a little medicinal flavor, not horrible though. Medium finish.

Feb 7, 2009 12oz bottler pours with a huge amount of carbonation and white fluffy, head, even with a careful pour. Medium yellow color with a bit of floral and perfume aroma. Dry and herbal hop bitterness at the beginning with little to no malt backbone. Light honey flavor. One of only a couple of misses from Southern Tier.

Jan 31, 2009 Bottle poured into standard pint glass. I have to agree with most raters here: very average beer from a very good brewery. When the question is Southern Tier, the answer is usually "Yes, please!" This is a rare exception. There’s nothing terrible about it, but it really could use an infusion of maltiness. The beer is slightly bitter tasting, not much aroma, and very thin in body.

Jan 8, 2009 Poured perfectly clear medium yellow with a huge, rocky head, in fact it was all head at first. The aroma is of piney and grapefruity hops. As you get into the beer the pine comes out again and at first there is an onslaught of hops and bitterness. As the beer warms the hops really mellow to make way for an incredibly balanced beer. This was a decent IPA, although I was not all that pleased with it in the beginning, but it grows on you as you drink it.

Dec 31, 2008 Pours gold with a fluffy white head, plenty of lace. Aroma of hop and light malt. Taste is sweetly malted and lightly hopped. Nothing earth-shattering. A fairly average APA. Finish is lightly bitter. Body is medium.
