Commercial Description:
When Phin and Matt sat down to collaborate on their new beer, they knew it had to be different if they were to call it extraordinary. "Let sprinkle it with fairy dust and wave our magic wands," said Phin. "No way," said Matt, "We've got to do better than that. This beer has to be better than any other in the galaxy." "Let's do some market research." So the two strapped on their rocket pack packs and traveled to the intergalactic beer store. After sampling an array of beers from acrossed the galaxy, the duo hit on an idea. "I've got it" exclaimed Matt, "we'll use vast amounts of whole hops, the finest malt, and put a little more love in every batch." "Eureka!" shouted Phin. And thus became a beer so fresh and tasty the duo put their names on it. 37 IBU's, 5.6% ABV

12oz, again from sampler, a bit old tasting, but not bad, tastes like an APA , nothing spectacular, a little bit of hops a little bit of malt but super easy to drink and a great macro alternative.

Poured from a bottle. Light yellow on pour, little lacing. Nice hoppy aroma. I would say a great session IPA beer at a halfway decent price. The balance is smooth but it doesn’t bowl you over with its completness. I put this one in the middle of the road.

Bottle from West Lakeview Liquors, Chicago. Clear light amber with small white head. Aroma is mild citrus hops with balanced caramel backbone. Caramel and nuttiness upfront with some bubblegum, and citrus hops. Medium thin body and creamy. Nice for an APA.

Another nice find from the Cincy roadtrip! If Southern Tier makes a bad beer, I’ve yet to try it! Even at 66 percentile, this one is still a keeper! Lots and lots of hops in this one, but without the metallic aftertaste. Good malt character as well, but the beer is thin and refreshing. Weak enough to not overpower, but enough to add to the flavor. I could see this being a fantastic session brew.

Pretty decent attempt. Nice hop aroma with some sweet malts thrown in. Flavor is sweet malt with the hops at the back end. Beautiful amber pour. Nice clean and crisp.

Pours a golden brown with a white-bread colored head, pretty thick. Smells of floral, and sweet apricot hops. Taste is a little soapy, sweet hops. Pretty decent beer.

Bottle: Pours a hazy orange color with a minimal white head. Spiced-citrus aroma with some mild floral hop notes, light malts. Medium bodied. Flavor pretty much follows the nose. Decent, nothing great.

I dont know if I can say anything good or bad about this beer. Its just a light, crisp, slightly hopped ale. Nothing fantastic, but for something to swig on I suppose this works out. Usually Southern Tier stuff is happily priced as well, which helps.
