KornDogg (168), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 21, 2009 An impressive pale ale... notes of pine, citrus, hopes well balanced with a malty flavor... bitter aftertaste... well done Ober (1161), Bommelerwaard, Netherlands Sep 18, 2009 A little hazy golden colored beer, with a small white head. The aroma of sweet moving over to hop bitter and some some. Some spices in the back. The taste of hop bitters, flat with sweets of fruits. Spices in the back. The aftertaste is sweet with bitter. screigh (253), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Sep 17, 2009 Either something is wrong with this or it is just a weird APA. Hardly any aroma at all. It tastes like it was made with 2-row and pungent yard weeds. Some weird hop flavor and then a touch of burnt roast in the finish. The worst Southern Tier I have tasted. unclemattie (2370), Georgia, USA Sep 16, 2009 12oz bottle. Clear, light golden color. Huge fluffy light tan head, you could lick the foam from the top of the glass and convince people it is a new form of dining. Great lace. Aroma has a hop earthiness along with a hint of citrus hop. Very light but still very obvious. A touch of malt that reminds me of the smells from first time you walk into a small craft brewery. A malt that is light, fluffy, and pure heaven. Tastes like an intensely fresh beer. Very light bodied, smooth, very drinkable. Exceptionally sessionable. Smooth malts with a hint of honey and the freshest barley malt. So fresh. Crisp hop bitterness imitates taking an autumn hike through your favorite patch of forest. For some reason the taste takes me back to when I was a little kid wandering through the woods. Exceptionally sessionable. So well balanced, light finish, Creamy texture. Superb. This Ale truly is Extraordinary. I am very proud to have rated it. I loved it! MY 100th American Pale Ale RATING.
