Commercial Description:
When Phin and Matt sat down to collaborate on their new beer, they knew it had to be different if they were to call it extraordinary. "Let sprinkle it with fairy dust and wave our magic wands," said Phin. "No way," said Matt, "We've got to do better than that. This beer has to be better than any other in the galaxy." "Let's do some market research." So the two strapped on their rocket pack packs and traveled to the intergalactic beer store. After sampling an array of beers from acrossed the galaxy, the duo hit on an idea. "I've got it" exclaimed Matt, "we'll use vast amounts of whole hops, the finest malt, and put a little more love in every batch." "Eureka!" shouted Phin. And thus became a beer so fresh and tasty the duo put their names on it. 37 IBU's, 5.6% ABV

Said to be a cult favorite of some Northeastern craft beer lovers? Hazed apricot body supports a nice creamy offwhite head. Aroma is citrusy with pink grapefruit and orange. Bready malt mixes with a solid citrusy hop bitterness in the taste. Well balanced and tasty, but not an earth mover.

Out of a mixed 12 pack. Not bad, but not as good as I remember it being the first time I sampled it. Might have been slightly too warm. A little over-bitter, but not horribly out of balance.

Pale gold in color, citrusy hop aroma. Slightly sweet bitterness, but smooth. Hop levels are about 5 out of 10. Recommended.

I don’t know. This felt pretty ordinary. Very light colored, like a lager. Not that hoppy or really anything. Kind of boring for a beer, but innocuous I guess.

355 mL bottle. Colour is copper, with a small head. Strong aroma of cascade hops, which I love, so it’s all good. No statement of alcohol content on the bottle. (Why do Americans DO that?) Taste consiste of a thin malty sweetness, followed immediately by floral (rose) and cirtus (sweet orange, bitter grapefruit) hops. Finish isn’t as bitter as you’d think. A bit thin and oily. Not bad. A poor man’s Tankhouse Ale.

Mostly golden, mostly clear and mostly dead under a fast-fading white head. Light vegetal notes give way to florals, lemon, light pine and tea. Mild plastic quality to the flavor alongside a grapefruit sour-bitterness. Honey and tea bitters join late and linger. A bit thin and alcohol-dry. Not bad, but it could have used a dash of that fairy dust since I could only detect minor notes of love.

Bottle. Pretty good, good balance between malt and hops. It was quite sweet, yet bitter enough to offset it. Not much for appearence, small head that fades away and small lacing.
