12 oz bottle
Medium pour in stein
Brewed summer/fall 06, ordinaired 02/07
Poured a clear amber with a medium frothy somewhat diminishing white head.
Smelt of medium/strong hoppy grass and leaves, with light sweet caramel.
Taste was upfront strong bitter autumn leaves and grass and medium to light caramel followed by more bitter hops grassy bite and a light sweet caramel and bitter dirty water bitterness. Palate was light to medium bodied, lively carbonated, and watery.
Overall, this is a watered down hot summer day variation of a Sam Adams Lager. Watery and simple yet good flavors. Ordinary in an extraordinary way. Jayb0 (752), Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Feb 7, 2007 I found this extaordinary only in its lack of redeemable qualities. It was perhaps the most dull APA I’ve ever encountered. Lacked a hop bite, bordered on tasting of adjuncts. Fairly unappealing in color and too syrupy for the style. Drinkable is the best I can say for it. A far cry from their very good IPA. spector (906), Lancaster, Ohio, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 4, 2007 A nice APA from Southern Tier. The pour was a breathtaking hazy orange with a little "Saturn ring" head. The taste was not very full but it was mostly hops. There was some malt in there but it didn’t completely come through. I must also say it looks like Laurel and Hardy on the label which is a plus moejuck (1165), Ohio, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 4, 2007 Nice floral and earthy hop aroma. Light golden brown color with a medium palate. Good hoppy flavor--nice malt presence. Really easy to drink--perhaps a new very good session brew. Naven (869), Poway, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 28, 2007 12 oz bottle from Shadey. Amber color. No real aroma. Flavor is fairly typical for this style. Lightly hopped, clean, refreshing, easy drinking. Not bad, but nothing here stands out. ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 24, 2007 Brownish color, no head. Smell is sweet and grassy with a little bit of a hop flavor. Taste is fruity and refreshing. Something is weird tasting, but I do not know what it is. Not a bad beer, but damn, give me Sierra Nevada.
