Commercial Description:
When Phin and Matt sat down to collaborate on their new beer, they knew it had to be different if they were to call it extraordinary. "Let sprinkle it with fairy dust and wave our magic wands," said Phin. "No way," said Matt, "We've got to do better than that. This beer has to be better than any other in the galaxy." "Let's do some market research." So the two strapped on their rocket pack packs and traveled to the intergalactic beer store. After sampling an array of beers from acrossed the galaxy, the duo hit on an idea. "I've got it" exclaimed Matt, "we'll use vast amounts of whole hops, the finest malt, and put a little more love in every batch." "Eureka!" shouted Phin. And thus became a beer so fresh and tasty the duo put their names on it. 37 IBU's, 5.6% ABV

Bottle thanks to drewbeerme. Poured a clear, brighter golden with some rising carbonation and some tiny sediment suspended in there. The nose found fresh floral and citrus notes with unidentifiable sweet malts behind. Flavor was of floral, citrus, and pine hoppage backed by light fruity sweetness. Higher carbonation with a smooth middle and brighter bitterness around the edges. Decent, but certainly not extraordinary.

Bottle. This beers name is half right...its and ale, but there is nothing extraordinary about it. In fact, it is very...ordinary. Pours a muddy brownish with a thin head. A little aroma of citrus hops. Simple malt flavor, base malt and some crystal. Boring... If this was just Phin and Matt’s Ale, hey, this ain’t bad, but if your going to add a pretty big adjective, like "Extraordinary", it better be, and this baby ain’t!

Bottle. Clear light amber with a moderate frothy white head. Aroma of honey malts, floral hops and some fruity notes. Off-sweet cereal malt flavor, kind of grassy, with a fair amount of citrus hops. Medium bodied and a bit fizzy. All of the elements are there, but this one seems a little confused and off-kilter. Not terrible, but nothing here which really impresses me.

Nov. 10th ’06. Provided by biznizness in all his extraordinary wisdom and girthiness. Not the best beer in the galaxy I suppose but good enough to make me want some more if I get the chance.

This beer starts with a slightly bitter and astringent aroma, pours a clear amber with just a lacing of head. It’s got a bit of hop in the flavor, but a very thin palate. Overall, a decent session beer.

There is something simple about this beer that is appealing. It has an interesting balance of malt and hops. Something is missing though, and it is far from extraordinary. Besides, it has a jerky name, and a fuckin dumb pseudo-patriotic label. Decent intro to craft beers.

This is a gorgeous looking beer. I liked the look, the aroma, and the palate start to finish. This beer has the feeling of one that has been crafted with care!

Golden orange body. Hoppy citrus nose. Stale hop flavor with tones of citrus.
