Commercial Description:
When Phin and Matt sat down to collaborate on their new beer, they knew it had to be different if they were to call it extraordinary. "Let sprinkle it with fairy dust and wave our magic wands," said Phin. "No way," said Matt, "We've got to do better than that. This beer has to be better than any other in the galaxy." "Let's do some market research." So the two strapped on their rocket pack packs and traveled to the intergalactic beer store. After sampling an array of beers from acrossed the galaxy, the duo hit on an idea. "I've got it" exclaimed Matt, "we'll use vast amounts of whole hops, the finest malt, and put a little more love in every batch." "Eureka!" shouted Phin. And thus became a beer so fresh and tasty the duo put their names on it. 37 IBU's, 5.6% ABV

Sampled at Real Beer Expo (Rochester). Cask? Med. golden colur and no head. Lots of green hops and a little malt o the nose. A bit of carbonation. Hops up front, malt in the back. A hint of bitterness and a strange aftertaste (how’s that for descriptive...). Not quite extraordinary.

Courtesy of JCW. Golden with no head. Aroma rather strange, hoppy (citrus I guess) but very oxidized. Flavor has mellow citrus with no backbone whatsoever. Very watered down, average at best. Acquired another bottle for re-rate/benefit of doubt.

12 oz bottle pours a light amber color with virtually no head. Very weak malty light carmel and hoppy aromas come into the nose. The mouthfeel is light to medium with some carbonation. The flavors come across as raw. Very raw, as if they had just bottled this days before. It tastes an awful lot like homebrew that needs to sit in the bottle and mellow for another couple weeks. Raw grain and malt flavors cling to my palate with a light bitterness. No date on the bottle but this tastes like it shouldn’t have been released yet.

Thanks to shadey for this bottle. Pours gold/amber, with a white head. Aromas are subtle, but very pleasant hops, with a touch of caramel. Flavors are slightly bitter hops, along with some fruit and caramel.

12 oz. bottle via trade with shadey - Pours a clear amber color with a nice off white head. Light lacing. Lively carbonation. Has a citrus hop aroma and flavor. Very little malt. Light to medium body. A decent PA, but not extraordinary. Thanks Shane.

Well balanced! Hops and malt both come through. Color is light amber, not "pale". I’m an IPA fan, but I like this better than Southern Tier’s IPA. A nice surprise in a World Market variety pack.

Pours light amber into a shaker. Bright white conglomerate head leaves heavy lacing as it recedes. Sweet pine and resin aromas. Creamy but flat. Smarties with a slight bitter hop finish.
