Commercial Description:
When Phin and Matt sat down to collaborate on their new beer, they knew it had to be different if they were to call it extraordinary. "Let sprinkle it with fairy dust and wave our magic wands," said Phin. "No way," said Matt, "We've got to do better than that. This beer has to be better than any other in the galaxy." "Let's do some market research." So the two strapped on their rocket pack packs and traveled to the intergalactic beer store. After sampling an array of beers from acrossed the galaxy, the duo hit on an idea. "I've got it" exclaimed Matt, "we'll use vast amounts of whole hops, the finest malt, and put a little more love in every batch." "Eureka!" shouted Phin. And thus became a beer so fresh and tasty the duo put their names on it. 37 IBU's, 5.6% ABV

Rated 4/29/07: Light copper color, fizzy off white head and nice lacing. Fresh aroma, nice and flowery from a medium profile which I’m guessing relies primarily on the centennial hop. Lighter bodied than usual but far from watery or thin, this is just an easy going APA that is very sessionable. Flavor is "extraordinary " with a winning combination of fresh citrus fruits and well balanced hops giving off that evergreen taste. Light malt backbone slightly bready and surprisingly on the dry side. This is easy like Sunday morning.

Pours a light clear yellow color with a small amount of fizzy white head. Not much in the way of aroma...a little sweet, a little hoppy, but not much of either. Flavor is quite bland too. Malty with a sprig of hops. Overall, a very very average beer.

Crystal clear golden brown body beneath a dense foamy white head. Grapefuit and lemon highlight the aroma. Starts crisp, with some grapefruit and orange zest flavors. Very slight toffee like malts sit in the background. Another solid southern tier beer.

Pours a cloudy, light amber color with a thin off-white head. Aroma is of citrus and pine hops with caramel and a hint of sweet malts. Flavor starts off with the floral and pine hops that give way to the sweet malts. Finishes bitter with citrus hops. Another delicious brew from Southern Tier.

Amber body, white head, sweet but citric nose. Nicely balanced sweet malts and American hops, good stuff.

Draft at the Blind Tiger in NYC. This was a good pale ale. Nice hop bite to it. Balanced very well.
