Commercial Description:
When Phin and Matt sat down to collaborate on their new beer, they knew it had to be different if they were to call it extraordinary. "Let sprinkle it with fairy dust and wave our magic wands," said Phin. "No way," said Matt, "We've got to do better than that. This beer has to be better than any other in the galaxy." "Let's do some market research." So the two strapped on their rocket pack packs and traveled to the intergalactic beer store. After sampling an array of beers from acrossed the galaxy, the duo hit on an idea. "I've got it" exclaimed Matt, "we'll use vast amounts of whole hops, the finest malt, and put a little more love in every batch." "Eureka!" shouted Phin. And thus became a beer so fresh and tasty the duo put their names on it. 37 IBU's, 5.6% ABV

Lightly hazy gold pour with a moderate, loose white head, temporary lace. Aroma is an interesting pairing of very floral hops with butterscotch. Flavor again fronts with a lot of fresh hop aroma, floral, citric, dank, some tobacco in there. Malts are more caramelly than butterscotchy in the mouth. Also a distinct cinnamon spiciness. Zesty, somewhat warm on the palate. I like it.

Bottle (via BeerBeast): Outstanding!!!!! Just a fabulous beer. Aroma is soft and delicate, taste is full yet not overpower ing with any one thing. i kept thinking the taste was malts, no wait hops, nevermind malts (so a tad more malts than hops), so balanced and good!! The best beer I’ve had in a long while, especially when you consider its one of those underrated APAs, its outstanding!!!

12oz bottle courtesy of my Summer 07 SS. Golden yellow/orange pour with a sudsy, bubbly white head. About 2 fingers thick with some decent drip lacing. Nose of skunky hops, citrus fruits, stale pale malts, cereal grains and adjunct sugars. Fore is heavily astringent, followed by citrus hops, dusty grains and malts, broken down sugars and some other fruity esters. Midway through I pick up an off flavor that I can’t put my finger on, but it’s not pleasant or welcome. Kind of fades away on the back end but it’s still there and drags the beer down. Light to medium bodied, slick palate and mouthfeel. Finish is better, some citrus hops, grains, sweet malts, honey and floral notes.

Bottle: Poured an amber color with a white head. The aroma was hops, citrus and pine. The flavor was caramel, hops, and flowers. Overall, a tasty pale ale.

Gold color with a decent amount of head formation. Sweet aroma with considerable hop scent mixed in. Grainy flavor. A bit of hop bitterness with some citrus and earthy flavors. Fairly unenjoyable to me.

Good beer, nice floral hop aroma and hazed amber color. Taste is mellow and soft for an APA. Sessionable.

Well balanced! Hops and malt both come through. Color is light amber, not "pale". I’m an IPA fan, but I like this better than Southern Tier’s IPA. A nice surprise in a World Market variety pack.

Pours a slightly golden color with a small white head. Aroma is of hops, slight matl, bubble gum, corn, and citrus. There was more in the aroma than in the taste. Body is overly watery, but a lot of flavor still comes through. Taste is a nice hop bite, followed by some malt to balance it out. Not overly amazing, but it is refreshing and easy to drink.
