3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: MAY 22, 2011 A nice amber color with a hoppy aroma. Sweet and fruity deep within with a nice hops punch to it. Not bad, a nice American Pale.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Cloudy and darkened amber. Very large pillowy off-white head. Fresh and sweet hops with touches of fruity pineapple and slight astringency bites. Flavor yields the same... There is a sweet fruity presence, blocked by fruity yet astringent hops. It helps it not be too sweet, yet the astringency is annoying. Basically... not as smooth as I thought it’d be.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: JAN 13, 2014 I swear this beer used to have a pleasant almost Belgian character but as the years have gone on it has gotten drier, hoppier and less interesting. +++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this brew poured a bright golden color with a large soapy white head that lingered and produced lots of lacing. The aroma was a bit dry with a moderate floral and fruity hop presence. The flavor is dryish with a sharp fruity hop presence and undertones of cracker and perfume. Long dryish hoppy finish. Medium body. Ok.

Slightly hazy, but that’s probably me not pouring carefully enough. Lovely Goldings (?) aroma. A bit astringent taste. Too fruity. Enormous hoppy finish. Nose & finish are tops. Taste below average.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottled. Amber colour, airy head. Orangey nose. Sweet with clean mouthfeel and medium body. There’s notes of sulphur and apple followed by a harsh, grassy bitter finish. Simplistic.

Thanks to Shadey for this!
I think this stretches the APA style a bit, but here’s my take on it anyway.
Pours a hazy light orange color with a diminished head which produces a light lacing.
Big fruity aroma that brings to mind bubblegum and candy ’Circus Peanuts’.
The flavor is sweet in the beginning and finishes slightly dry. The body is a bit light, but overall a decent drinker.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: FEB 14, 2005 Cloudy Orange gold, no head. Big flowery, piney hop nose. Almost candyish malt profile, combined with a fresh from the vine hop flavor. There is a somewhat tart edge, as well. Kind of thin bodied, but that OK in this beer. Some earthyness in the finish. Easy to drink, and I think I could drink a lot of this, given the opportunity. Thanks to Springslicker for sharing this one!

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: Mostly clear, pale amber body with a medium white head. The aroma here is hoppy, yet sweet. Sweet ruby grapefruit dominates the nose, with hints of lemon, pear, apple, pine, and bubblegum. The carbonation attacks your tongue initially overshadowing anything else. After taste returns, there are some medium bitter hop notes, again all grapefruit, some hints of lemon, tea, biscuit, grass, and earth. I really like the sweet grapefruit in the aroma and taste, but the body is just too thin and watery.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hazy light amber body with suspended particulate matter; thin abundantly lacing light cream head. Aroma mostly of grapefruit rind and touches of pine. Creamy, biscuity body with an interesting earthy yeast component as well as a fairly strong hops presence (grapefruit rind, pine). Nothing too unique in the malt bill or hops varieties, but the yeasty element adds some character.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: JAN 31, 2005 Beautiful copper color with a thin white head. Nice fruity/citrus aroma. Well balanced with plenty of hop character. Solid stuff and at the price this can easily be a session beer.
