Boooooring. If you want to drink a whole lot of beer and wonít drink budweiser, get this. Itís plain and inoffensive. Definitely drinkable, in that I finished the 6 pack with no complaints, but I barely noticed. Utterly average American pale ale.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: SEP 12, 2011 Bottle: Hazy orange with a thin white head, huge grapefruit/orange aroma, starts and ends bitter, full bodied with an orange aftertaste. Smells more like an IPA than a pale ale, but who am I to complain.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Extraordinary this is not - not much going on here except the minor hop profile and some bread-like qualities with nothing grounding it or holding the flavors together - high carbonation only accentuates the missing flavors.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Quite an aggressive piney hoppiness in the nose of this with a bit of pepperiness. Very aromatic. Transparent copper color with nice frothy off-white head. Nice roasted caramel malts in the middle backs up the peppery hoppiness to start. Finishes bitter with some pine notes. There seems to be a void in this beer. I remember the harvest being more aggressive and flavorful than this. This is still very solid. Iíd like to try the two side by side to really see if there is any difference between the two, though.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Light golden in colour. Aroma light cookie malts and lemony hops. The flavour was of mild malt, some light floral hops, citrus. Medium body, mild carbonation. Finishes short and clean. Not bad but fairly forgettable.

3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft at Spring Brewtopia 2005... Clear, yellow ale with a small, creamy, white head. Smells like a nice glass of American iced tea with a wedge of lemon. The flavor is fairly well-balanced and very iced tea-like, but a bit thin and fizzy. Moderately bitter. Short, crisp, very dry finish.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Brewtopia í05.Amber body with off white head. Lots of grapefruit-pine hops in the nose. Nothing extraordinary, but enjoyable if you like pale ales.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: JAN 7, 2007 07.01.07 re-rated. I donít think itís all piney and floral anymore as I now note bits of citrus, mostly a sharpish lemon, and itís really pretty nice. Itís also no longer seemingly IPA-ish, rather Iím getting the difference and itís certainly an APA. I just donít fall in love with most APAs, I guess. I like it though, and only think it would be better if less drastically filtered. Bumped up the score from 3.1 to 3.4.
04.16.05 Brewtopia í05 Draught. Lightly hazed amber gold; lasting white head. Lots of pine on nose, floral. Very dry stuff for an APA. A bit one dimensional, I think it seems more an IPA, still tasty.
