Plums are a diverse group of species, with somewhere between 19 & 40 varieties depending upon whom you ask. We’re using what we consider to be the best to brew with. the Italian plum has beautiful dark skin & the flesh is perfect for fermentation. Plum Noir’s mild sweetness is derived no necessarily from the many malts we use. A bit of plum flavor is present as well as earthy, toasted grains, & hints of caramel with mild coffee overtones.

Bottle at Örebro Öl&Whiskey Festival 2013. Dark mahogany/brown beer with a decent beige head. Roasted chocolate and cocoa aroma, plums, raisins, vinous notes, caramel, citrus, tar notes some dades. Roasted chocolate flavor, dades, caramel, tar, cocoa powder, some alcohol. Decent beer but I have had better dark beers from this brewery.

Deep mahogany with a thin brown crown that reigns over its beer for a long, long time. Aroma is upfront plum and chocolate with dark roasted malts, dark fruits and light caramel. Taste of dark roasted malts, coffee, chocolate and alcohol with a peppery and zippy finish.

Tasted on 11/24/13 from a capped 650mL bomber bottle. Pours opaque dark brown with an average tan head that slowly recedes to average lace. The nose is pretty straight-forward dark chocolate and coffee porter with a very light fruity, almost vinous note. The flavor follows suit with standard porter characteristics dominating and just a light hint of fruit on the back end. The body is medium to full with average carbonation and a long dark coffee and dark chocolate finish with just a tinge of fruit.

On tap at Schouskjelleren. Cola color, fruit, roastd grain bordering on smoky. Well balanced, pleasant.

Pours a dark black with light tan head. Smells of plum and roasted chocolate and tastes like plum up front finishing with chocolate. Extremely well done. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pretty badass beer at Amerasia. Palate is out of this world silky smooth. The plum really comes out in the taste.

Don’t really eat or drink plums so not entirely sure what I’m looking for. Porter but has a fruity sweet smell. Tastes sweet up front but dark chocolate finishe makes you want to repeat the process

Strong malt with a light amount of fruit and Belgian yeast. Very dark amber color with a meduim tan head. Moderate malt beginning with a sweet finish. Palate is light for a porter.

22oz bottle from Proof Roasty malt scent with some raisin and a faint whiff of plum/fruit at the end. Reddish brown color and a little beige head that quickly dissipated. Malt coffee toast taste, mild raisin fruit center with a small hop alcohol finish. Overall good, but expected more on the fruit side.
