Fine coffee and liquorice aroma. Quite sweet, cappuchino flavour, some charcoal, well balanced with dry hops and a little lemon in the finish. Easy-drinking despite the complexity. dimenhetfield (173), , Florida, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 25, 2009 The pour was appealing, with little brownish off white foam head. The nose has hints of coffee and chocolate. The taste how ever was somewhat bland and disappointing. It didnt leave much to the imagination and the after taste was somewhat sour. elihapa (1052), Honolulu, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | May 23, 2009 Bottle. Pours clear light brown with little head at all. Aroma is strong of dark chocolate and sweet mocha coffee. Palate dwells on a thin note throughout, never really achieving any depth or character. Flavor starts with dark chocolate, moves towards nuttiness, and ends in more chocolate and roasts. This is a decent, but elementary porter. Hansen (2266), Randers, Denmark
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 19, 2009 I really like this beer. Dark. Almost black colour; off-white head, mostly lasting. Aroma is burnt, nutty. The flavor gives the full impression of dark bread, faint coffee, dark chocolate, and more bread, mainly bitter finish. Jonte (816), Gothenburg, Sweden

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 16, 2009 Dark brown, creamy beige head that is gone quickly. Nose of cocoa, milk, a nut mix, sand, and faint roasted malt. More roast and nut in the flavor, some chocolate, a little watery and with a short, weak finish. Decent but not impressive. patrick767 (2019), fort wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 15, 2009 bottle at Ft Wayne tasting - Pours dark brown though not as dark as most porters and has a thin, off white head. The aroma is roast malt and coffee. The roast malt and coffee flavor is alright, but this is a thin brew for a porter. Decent hops balance. They really need to amp this one up though.
