May 15, 2009 Bottle@Home. Light malty, hint of chocolate and dusty aroma. Dark brown colour, beige head, good lace. Light sweet, light bitter, dusty, chocolate, light malty. Medium body. Strange dusty flavours that I disliked a lot.

May 8, 2009 bottle. Small fizzy off-white head that mostly diminished. Spare displaye of lacework. Clear mahogany color. Roasted malt, light coffee, chocolate. Quite full and tasty tones of roasted malt over the palate. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. Moderated sweet and bitter flavor. Nice roasted malty finish.

May 2, 2009 Bottled. Aroma has roast, coffee, chocolate with a touch of sourness. Black coloured beer with an off-white, medium head. The beer is a bit thin with a bitter finish. Slight note of metal. Could use some more body.

Red glints, but nearly black. Tan head. Sour malty roast aroma, a touch too sour. Anna gets hops too, I don’t - the sourness wins. Smooth palate, but decent carbonation and crisp tingly hops. Finish is roasty - it’s a decent roast, but it’s heading towards ashy, and also some porridgey malts. Well balanced and smooth. Good one.

Apr 29, 2009 Updated: Sep 30, 2009Very dark light off white head. Bottles lately. Aroma is simple with some malt sweetness and some roasty. Taste is balance and pretty solid. Some coffee dominating the dark bittersweet chocolate. On tap: Nice creamy mouthfeel. Sweet with a hint of bittersweet cocoa and some roasted coffee. Pretty good.
