Aroma is coffee and chocolate malt. Very nice porter taste, not too heavy, chocolate malt and coffee are the predominate tastes. Lots of coffee in the aftertaste. Not overbearing and very tasty. Medium bodied, sticky texture, lively carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness. CP (124), USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Mar 19, 2008 Very smooth and good standard porter. This one has a hint of hops in the aroma and the taste is a lot more roasty finish than other porters I have had. It is well balanced and therefore doesn’t have an overwhelming flavor. This is a quality porter, a bit to thin, but it went down quick! LinusStick (1831), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 17, 2008 A decent and drinkable porter, though a bit thin in the flavor. Aroma was decent. Roasted malt mixed with coffee. Pour was a deep dark brown with a thin off white ring for a head. Taste was mostly coffee with just a hint of chocolate in and out. Very heavy carbonation which is usually good, but the taste can’t break through it. Not bad not great. Goodgrief (1149), Middletown, Delaware, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 10, 2008 Sept. 2007 - Beer poured dark with decent head and lacing. Milky lactic aroma with burned notes. This is a porter as it should be. Dark roasty notes with a lot of bitter milk chocolate. Smooth mouthfeel. The only negative was the large amount of lacticity (is that a word?) just doesn’t appeal to me greatly. MrManning (1643), London, Ontario, Canada
