Commercial Description:
Porter is our darkest beer, but not necessarily our strongest. It is widely held that the darker the beer the stronger the beer, but this is summarily false. The contribution of color comes directly from the color of malt that we use. Some malt is roasted to achieve dark color and coffee-like flavor, which in turn get transferred to the beer. Our Porter is richly complex with overtones of chocolate and espresso beans followed by a subtle flavor of hops. It’s a nourishing beer without being too sweet or filling.

bottle poured into a snifter is a dark black in color with slow carbination and a thin layer of tan froth on the surface. aroma is malty, roasted coffee bean, dark chocolate, and some toffee. the flavor is full of rich malt, chocolate, has a slight bitterness, and finishes thinner than the body led on with bitterness and some noticeable hops. it does have a rich toasted malt flavor but is not overwhelming, really simple but quite drinkable and well balanced.

This beer is kind of weak for a porter, and has kind of an musty flavor. There is absolutely no aroma, and not a lot of flavor. Suck on a gym sock.

Bottled. A hazy red-brown beer with a huge fluffy brown head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of cocoa and chocolate. The flavor is sweet and very roasted, which also lends it a slight acidity, combined with strong notes of chocolate. The alcohol burns slightly in the mouth.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of boboski. Slightly hazy reddish brown with a tall and dense, shaving foam style off-white head leaving a rich lacework. Lightly vinous, roasted malt aroma. Medium body with sweet, roasted - hard roasted - malt accents. Some fruitiness before a dry finish. Appears like a Baltic Porter. 171107

Bottle obtained from HogTownHarry. Deep brown with a small tan head. Aroma is sweet and roasty - dark malt, molasses, dark roasted coffee. Medium mouthfeel. Flavour is very well-balanced, roasty off the top, some chocolate in the middle, dry coffee in the finish. Great porter!

Bottle: Pours a deep brown/black with a fizzy tanish white head. Rich and full bodies, Chocolate with a tinge of licorice. This went down fast moving firewood. A bit of coffee coming thru. some touches of hops round it all out. A nice solid porter.
