Commercial Description:
Porter is our darkest beer, but not necessarily our strongest. It is widely held that the darker the beer the stronger the beer, but this is summarily false. The contribution of color comes directly from the color of malt that we use. Some malt is roasted to achieve dark color and coffee-like flavor, which in turn get transferred to the beer. Our Porter is richly complex with overtones of chocolate and espresso beans followed by a subtle flavor of hops. It’s a nourishing beer without being too sweet or filling.

Black body with a small dark tan head. Sweet cocoa and ever so slightly sour chocolate milk aroma. Dry yet sweet malt flavour hints at some roast that doesn’t actually materialize. Muted notes of very dark chocolate. Palate is just slightly oily and pleasantly thicker than average (3+). Solid, but not mind blowing, this one strikes me as a good candidate for draft re-rate if the opportunity arises.

Draft at Coles in Buffalo. Thanks Rudolf for recommending this. Aroma of tiramisu, hazelnut, and chocolate syrup. Flavor of mild roast coffee, dark roast malt, and vanilla. Finish has nice pleasant peppery hop and roasty flavors in the finish. A fine session porter.I would gladly drink this again

Pours a dark brown/black color with a very thin tan head. Aroma is of sweet malts, chocolate, caramel, coffee, and a hint of dark fruits. Flavor is of roasted malts, chocolate, and coffee at first. Finishes with a slight hint of hops to finish up. A pretty decent porter but I like their hoppy beers much better.

Pours dark brown with a medium tan head. Good head retention and creaminess. Hints of coffee, roasted chocolate and piney hops were in the aroma. Taste was quite smooth except for the smoky taste at the end which got a little bitter. Good Porter which I would certainly have again.

Thanks for jayme(Jim) for this one. Has a definite nose of toasty malts with a bit of chocolate cake. I sat down and drank this in about 5 minutes. This is a nice Porter.

For me it was a normal porter. Maybe more like a stoudt but thick with chocolate malts and cofee tones.

Good balance, chocolate malts, very drinkable. Some chocolate and coffee aroma. Taste: Neither overly sweet nor bitter. Black colour, not much head. Some hop bitterness
