Aug 14, 2006 Dark black in color with a thick creamy light brown head. Rich sweet caramel roasted malt smell. WOW! Deep rich roasted flavor with awesome taste bud popping finish.

Jul 27, 2006 Great Porter. Smooth, easy to drink, yet extremely flavorful with a long, strong after taste. Pours very dark with a tan, creamy head. Coffee flavors, some chocolate, with smooth and complex hops. Very substancial, yet not overbearing and easy to drink. After taste is very long. Great beer! Try it out.

Jul 24, 2006 A solid porter. The pour is almost black with a decent head. The head fades fairly quickly. The aroma is roasted malt and coffee. The taste is the same, but with a little hop kick in there that you notice--especially as the beer warms. Mouthfeel is a little thin, but not terrible.

Jul 23, 2006 Bombay mahogany and chestnut colors but very dark. Light wispy head. Roasted toasty grains and coffee in the nose, but it is very light. Coffee is the predominant taste followed by lightly toasted malted grain. Simple but good. Body is medium but a tad towards the watery side. Dry finish.

Jul 20, 2006 Black body with a small dark tan head. Sweet cocoa and ever so slightly sour chocolate milk aroma. Dry yet sweet malt flavour hints at some roast that doesn’t actually materialize. Muted notes of very dark chocolate. Palate is just slightly oily and pleasantly thicker than average (3+). Solid, but not mind blowing, this one strikes me as a good candidate for draft re-rate if the opportunity arises.

Jul 13, 2006 Draft at Coles in Buffalo. Thanks Rudolf for recommending this. Aroma of tiramisu, hazelnut, and chocolate syrup. Flavor of mild roast coffee, dark roast malt, and vanilla. Finish has nice pleasant peppery hop and roasty flavors in the finish. A fine session porter.I would gladly drink this again
