Reminds me of Boulevard Bully Porter. Texture is semi-frothy, flavor is moderately bitter, somewhat acidic, mildly creamy and with a touch of roasted malts. Good stuff. Could be an everyday porter. | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 23, 2005 Very dark beer with little head. Coffee like aroma, some chocolate. Flavour has hints of cocoa and coffee. I had an aftertaste simiilar to the flavour itself. Their is some bitterness, but it still goes down smoother than most of the better known dark beers I have had. I would like to see the Southern Tier people make an attempt at canning this beer as a "draught", like Boddington. GTown (126), New York, USA
