Clean, almost stale aroma of toasted malts and cherry juice. Medium to light-bodied with touches of mild cocoa-powder, cherry syrup, metal with a low hop-rate. Short finish of toasted malts, candied cherries and rasperry-gum. No thanks.

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 12, 2008 Thanks MIketd. Pours a thin and kind of translucent brown. Allows more light than I would like from the style. The head is also very uncharacteristic, foams an enormous tan head. The nose is fairly two dimensional, raspberry syrup (not real raspberry), some chocolate, a little sweet, the tiniest hop character pokes through along with a tad bit of roast. The flavor is very sweet raspberry, roasty, chocolate, porter shows well. I’ll give it this it is a raspberry porter, doesn’t bear too much on either side in my opinion. Thin mouthfeel and a finish that leaves you wanting a bit more of those "Pacific Northwest grown hops". aubreya (676), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 12, 2008 The color was ruby/brown. The head frothy and off-white. The aroma was raspberry, chocolate, sweet, and candy. The flavor was tobacco, raspberry, burnt, and bran. The palate was very carbonated. The finish was abrupt. schlomo (5), Agawam, Massachusetts, USA does not count | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Jul 9, 2008 Large soda-like light colored head with large bubbles, diminshed quickly. Great raspberry caramel nose, lets you know what you are getting into. Fairly thin and carbonated for a porter. Sweet raspberry front, balanced by roasted, chocolate porter finish. I enjoyed this very drinkable beer.
