biggcb (459), Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA May 16, 2008 Shared bottle. Pours a reddish brown color with a 2+ finger slightly off-white head. Aroma is malty, with a little bit of the raspberries. Flavor is much the same, with a little chocolate coming through. Not bad. Definitely better than the rasp wheat. Nothing I would rush to try again. The aroma from this beige headed, clear brown ale is nothing but raspberries, some fresh, some candied. Some malty chocolate and a light roastiness are present in the flavor, too, but the fruit dominates. Nothing I’d care to repeat.

sunevdj (1765), Copenhagen OE, Denmark May 9, 2008 Bottle at toncatchers tasting. Pours a clear reddish brown. Light sweet and sourness. Some bitterness. Lots of raspberry aromas. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Short dry finish with hints of metals. ucusty (1871), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA May 6, 2008 Dark brown pour with shades of red. Fresh raspberry aroma. Chocolate and raspberries, very nice. The raspberry almost masks the porter characteristics I like, which is disapointing tomthompson89 (1460), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 6, 2008 ok so not a super dark porter, but not bad. Nose was really nice smelled like real raspberry not syrup. brown color some tan head but very little i found, flavor was rasberry and malt but as it warmed i got a little coffee and a little chocolate. Very nice fruit beer, better then the ras wheat i found. At smokeless joes cyrenaica (435), Milton, Ontario, Canada May 6, 2008 355ml bottle

I tried this beer on April 25, 2008 at "Smokeless Joe’s" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a slightly translucent dark ruby red with a very thin white head. The aroma was all raspberries with some faint hints of malt. The mouthfeel was weak and slightly watery with very little carbonation. The flavour was very much like a weak raspberry tea with a slight sourness. Nowhere near the same calibre of beer as the raspberry wheat. hotstuff (3175), Indiana, USA May 1, 2008 Bottle courtesy of jsquire. Thanks, Jeff! Small tan head that mostly lasted, splotchy amounts of lacing, transparent, no carbonation observed, and a reddish brown hue. Nose was sweet, raspberries, some maltiness, and hints of chocolate. The flavor was sweet, semi-tart, raspberries, some malt, some roastiness, and a dry finish. Tingly mouthfeel. I was not impressed with the flavor of this beer as it was hit and miss throughout my rating.
