Pours out a clear moderate to dark brown with an upfront aroma of raspberry. Taste is of raspberry, not over powering but nice balance of sweet and tart. Some roasted malt in there but overall the thin watery mouthfeel takes a bit away from this one but its in no way a bad beer.

Doesnt look like a porter, doesnt smell like a porter, sure as hell doesnt taste or feel like a porter. Well than it’s not a porter!!! Looks like Coke a cola with thin white head, decent lacing though. Aroma of fake rasberry candy, some chocolate, medicinal. Flavor is thin and watery, some cocoa with a gross stingy flavor from berries and hops maybe. I’m done with this before it even started. Drain pour!

Pours thin near dark brown with a small white frothy head. Strong aroma of raspberry syrup as soon as you open the bottle. Really tastes like raspberry flavored coffee beans. Very coffee-bean like dryness underneath the sweet generic raspberry taste. I think a raspberry chocolate stout would have been the way to go... mmm now I’m dreaming of that. Thin watery bottle not at all indicative of a porter.

Pours a clear but very dark boisenberry color. A small, fizzy, off-white head settles quickly to a thin film. Sudsy lacing rejoins the body. Aromas of sweet raspberry jam dominate the faint, chocolate malt background. The flavor shows like a dark raspberry cola, sweet, sugary, and artificial feeling. The berry component is so overtly sweet that is covers up nearly all discernible porter characteristics. Falling on th thin side of medium bodied, a fizzy mouthfeel contributes to that unwanted cola feeling. This one just feels like it was forced. My first disappointment with this great brewery.

Bottle. Yellow/copper color. No head, no lacing. Smells sweet, rasberry obviously. Taste is malt with a rasberry after taste. Easy to drink. Overall a decent rasberry beer. I would drink it again. Probably a good summer time brew to change things up.

Bottle. I’m not much for low gravity brews, but this one was a nice change of pace. Nice balance of malt and sour raspberry. Only drawback was soapy finish. Nice noentheless.

12 oz. brown, longneck bottle. No freshness date. Damn twist off too. Nothing to write home about. Raspberries in the nose & flavors. Over carbonated, I’m not impressed.
