Jan 24, 2008 Bottle and served in my Ommegang tulip: Deep brown with reddish highlights topped by a nice frothy head and good lace. The aroma has notes of syrupy raspberry, chocolate and nutty malts, a hint of smoke and grassy vapours. The taste starts with a combination of fruity twang and malt sweetness. Perhaps too much actually for it seems to not mesh very well IMO. There is a saving grace of charred bitterness and some herbal hops. The mouth feel is lively yet somehow was soft in the end with a metallic finish. I liked some aspects of this brew but wish it had tasted cleaner and more tart, I have had worse and it is far better than the Raspberry Wheat.

Jan 24, 2008 12 oz bottle...smells like malty raspberries....a malt ball with a raspberry in the center....looks like a pepsi with a beige head...thin body---watery raspberry flavor, not very impressive...a weird sour bitter finish...not enjoyable....raspberries turned for the worse...the only thing this beer has going is the simple aroma, which even that ive smelled better

Jan 19, 2008 Bottle. This beer must sit in the bottle for a bit. Pours dark brown with a thin tan head. Artificial raspberry aroma. First sip is metallic. By the end of the beer the raspberry, chocolate, and roasted malts blend nicely.

Jan 17, 2008 Bottle. Pours clear and light brown color with a small tan colored head. Aroma is raspberries, light chocolate. Flavor is raspberry extract and chocolate. Palate is medium to light, mildly carbonated, finishes sweet. Not very good at all, very artificial raspberry flavor, thin and watery, blah.

Jan 16, 2008 Bottle... Lightly hazed, deep, dark amber ale with orange highlights and a large, fluffy, off-white head. Terrific retention. Tangy, fruity raspberry puree nose with a lesser note of milk chocolate. Light to medium-bodied with unassuming carbonation. Fruity, sweet, tangy flavor with very mild bitterness. Gently chocolaty and thin. Finishes minerally and lightly bitter. Thanks to scraff for the bottle!

Jan 16, 2008 12oz bottle courtesy of Secret Santa winter 07. Robust aroma of raspberry"s. Just like you would smell while out picking them off the vines yourself. Dark body with red tynt with small head. Dry raspberry flavor mello compared to aroma. Thanks Adam.

I have to give a 10 for aroma because I have yet to smell any Fruit beer that has a better aroma! Strong aroma of fresh raspberrys with chocolate on the side.
Flavor is also raspberrys, chocolate and light roast.
I dont give a crap what anyone says. I liked this beer!

Jan 14, 2008 Poured see through brown with a small off white head. Aroma of raspberries. Strong raspberry flavor that overpowers everything else.
