Pours a deep brown, nearly black beer with a firm head. Aroma is a pleasant symphony of raspberry and chocolate and malt with an understated roastiness. Flavor is not as a complex, but still represents a good mix of raspberry and light chocolate with a slight bitter chocolate finish, and some hoppiness. Easy roastiness, quite drinkable, and pairs excellently with chocolate deserts.

A deep dark reddish porter with a thick moka head. A sweet chocolate raspberry and strawberry jam, nice and pungent. IN mouth, a sweet lactic chocolate, grassy, a bit short and lacking body. Bieropholie import.

Cola brown color with ruby tints and almost no head. Nice raspberry aroma, with some restrained roasted barley and faint hints of cocoa powder. A good blend of raspberries, roast, and chocolaty flavors, although none come across too strong. An enjoyable and easy to drink beer, but not likely to gain the ratings of ST more high profile offerings.

Bottle. Brown body with ruby tinges, modest beige head. Big raspberry aroma, green leafy notes. (7+) Leafy astringency at first, raspberry and dark malty foundation, very mild roast. More raspberry than porter. Average palate. Pleasant in its own way, but not very exciting.

Bottle shared with Jerc, and Mabel, my bottle courtesy of Hogtown Harry (thanks!). Nice brown with red/orange hints, fluffy brown head. Nice aroma - raspberry and malt. Decent taste - more raspberry and malt - like a raspberry brown ale, hard to see the porter here. But, a very decent fruit beer and quite drinkable and enjoyable.

Bottle from River Bend. Pours dark clear reddish brown color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate toasted chocolate raspberry aroma. Medium to full body with a dry texture. Medium chocolate sweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. This is a fruity good drinkable beer.

Appearance: Pours a clear, dark reddish-brown body with a small, bubbly, white head. Smell: Strong raspberry aroma with background smelling vaguely of chocolate and dark malts. Taste: Dark maltiness with a hint of baker’s chocolate and a rather restrained sweetness. The raspberries are really downplayed for the taste when compared to the aroma, which, depending on your liking towards raspberries, can either be a good or bad thing. Slight pinch of bitterness near the drying finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: When looking at the separate components, you see a middling fruit beer and a pretty dull porter. Leaning on one another they present a decent beer, but that’s about it. Alright, now sign me up for a Raspberry Wheat.

Huge raspberry aroma that just overpowers your senses. A brown pour with light tan head. All the raspberry are used on the nose not much raspberry flavor. A light fruit after taste. Thin but carbonation is good. A beer that promises alot but doesn’t deliver on the flavor like it does on the nose. Bad? No, just not what the nose led me to believe it would be.
