Commercial Description:
A golden wheat beer brewed with the finest North American malted barley and wheat. It’s then lightly hopped with the choicest European varieties. This smooth, crisp golden wheat beer is then finished with a hint of raspberry. Enjoy this beer any time of year.

12oz bottle poured into glass. Golden color with a white head that didn’t last too long. Very very strong raspberry aroma which covers up most of the other scents. Flavor is much more raspberry than wheat, I can certainly picture this being thirst quenching. Easy to drink as the beer is already half over and I started just a few minutes ago. Always been a very big berry fan for most everything but still not convinced how much I like it in my beer. I have always thought of this being in the Southern Tier variety pack as the beer for the girls to drink. When considering the other brews from Southern Tier this one definitely falls short.

12 oz bottle. Pours a pale golden in color with a pure white head - no suprises there. It has a semi-sweet rasberry fruit aroma, almost like a pure jam, which is also very evident upon tasting. There is almost no wheat detected at all, little disappointing. All in all a refreshing fruit beer.

If this was marketed as a summer refreshing beer as opposed to a year round wheat fruit beer i think it would be rated higher... I am completely against this beer being in Southern Tiers mix pack... I had one after an evening soccer game and would have had a second had i had another cold, but in the same scenario in the middle of the winter, i would have poured it down the drain... It is a bit overbearing on the raspberry, but it is quite quenching, and i rather liked in that scenario....

12oz bottle. Pours a clear pale yellow with a small white head. Nose is big on Raspberry jam and that’s about it. A very refreshing summer brew.

Bottle sampled courtesy of Mike during the Cluster Brew Part Deux event. Golden color, decent white head. Aroma was raspberry syrup. Flavor was solidly of raspberry that somehow came off as artifcial, over a decent wheat beer. In the end, just too much of the fruit for my tastes.

Bottle. Pours a clear gold, with a small, fizzy head. The aroma is not too strong, and dominated by raspberries. The flavor is sour raspberry, with prominent wheat. Not bad, nothing special, though.

clear golden pour with next to no head. Aroma is quite nice, some really juicy raspberry. Flavour is quite disapointing though, there pretty much isn’t any. I’m getting an odd sour note, but seriously that’s about it. The body is watery, and extremely bland, not very good at all.

Clear golden coloured body with a super large foamy white head mellowing out to a short top. Aroma of fresh raspberries, icing sugar, wheat and a bit of yeast. Medium-bodied; Super strong funky gross malt on the top with a potent yeast that is super powerful. Aftertaste shows horribly bitter yeast/malt and a mild raspberry flavour, but there is no getting past the bitterness. Overall, a pretty bad offering - my first major disappointment from Southern Tier - but it’s definitely not a good beer. One to avoid without a doubt! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased on 12-July-2008 from Oliver’s Beverage in Albany, New York, on 11-September-2008 at home in Washington.
