pale straw color with medium carbonation and a slightly hazy appearance. bubbly white head, and an aroma of raspberry and pale malt. some tartness and acidity in the aroma as well, so it’s certainly not sweet like many fruit beers but not completely imbued with fruit flavors either. dry and chemical finish, with a strange aftertaste of raspberry, apple, and talc flavors. i like southern tier’s other offerings, and i appreciate that they’ll brew a beer for people with different tastes; however, this is a beer i won’t revisit.

Bottle and served in NB flute glass: Pours a hazy straw hue with an initial huge fluffy head and left spotty lace upon the glass. The aroma has notes of raspberry syrup, cereal grains and wheat with a quick dash of DMS. The taste is not up to Southern Tier standards, the raspberry tastes fake and the additional minerally background does not help things either. A hint of corn and bready malts show up as well. The aftertaste is god awful combination of metal and minerals. The mouth feel is lively and short lived outside a chalky finish. You can do so much better than this, these are the kind of beers that turn people off to fruit beers.

A new fruity favorite. Aroma & taste just smack of raspberries! Of course this 75 character minimum and the fact that I have to actually write anything at all is perplexing to a mother of four kids who just wants to make a small contribution without having to put a whole lot of thought into it. There. Maybe now I can post.

12 oz bottle (thanks to whoever sent this). Pours a clear gold with a massive but quickly dissappearing head. Nose is pure raspeberry, more intesne than i have ever noted in a beer. As for flavors, there is caramel, toffee, and then the berries kick in and stay..sweet and sour rasprberries. They taste real, not like some crap extract. Very nice. Yeast is a bit spicy though and does not really work with the fruit. Body is light/medium, carbonation is high...a bit too high. Otherwise this is a quite nicely done fruit beer with some champagne characteristics! The main things i would change would be to lower the carbonation and use a cleaner yeast that would allow the beer to shine instead of the yeast...

Southern Tier’s Raspberry Wheat was terrible and hard to drink. I had 3 in a variety pack and I could barely get through the first one

12 oz. bottle. Pours clear golden in color with a small diminishing white head. The aroma is rasberries with some hints of wheat grass as well. The flavor has a more subdued version of the rasberry, along with the biscuity malt and a little tartness. Light bodied and a touch on the watery side. I really like their big beer series, but many of their regular line are simply average.

not bad. wife liked it a lot. A real treat when blended with ST Choklat. Probably would not buy it as a stand alone, but this is simply because this is not a favorite style of mine. If you’re into fruit beers, you can do far worse.

Clear light yellow with a rasperry aroma. The flavor is outstanding in regard to the ratio between/malt/fruit. Dry and lightly sweet.
