Nose of raspberry flavoring, and some malts. Flavor was god awful...like a rasperry spritzer. Light bodied with medium carbonation. Sweet acidic finish...lingering sweetness. Not a beer to seek out IMHO. matt7215 (956), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada

| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jul 12, 2009 Bottle - 355ml. Pours a hazy pale blond body with average carbonation and a thin white frothy head. Fresh malty/hoppy aroma with raspberry hints. Taste, however, is rather thin, misbalanced, and carries some bad chemical notes. Ends with a short, harsh aciditic finish. Bad fruit beer. Southern Tier is capable of much better. fonefan (11099), VestJylland, Denmark

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 8, 2009 Bottle. Hazy yellow with a medium foamy white head. Good retention. Aroma is fresh raspberries and candies with a touch of lemon and lacing. Flavor is crisp malt, raspberries, wheat, and a fair bit of hops for a wheat fruit beer. Thin body and fizzy carbonation. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 5, 2009 Pale clear straw-gold color and straightforward aroma of fresh raspberries. The wheat-y very clean malts are moderately sweet, rounded and slick, and the old-tyme candy raspberry flavor coasts over a nod of bittering hop. Almost a dry raspberry cream soda feel. Raspberries just ARE a perfumey berry, and this is a good balanced product. Tasty enough. Very late bitter hop finish, decent feel. For fun I blend in a dash of Thomas Hardys and Petrus Oud Bruin - it becomes more serious & Belgian in flavor. JesseM (665), Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 29, 2009 355mL bottle from the LCBO. Pours a surprisingly pale gold with a small white cap. Blonde? What? Rasberry’s are red aren’t they? At least it smells like rasberries, and pretty much nothing else. Maybe a tiny bit of wheat malt. Flavour is just bland, and suffers from the same unpleasant dryness I get from a lot of fruity wheat beers (that are filtered and probably used extract or synthetic flavouring). Tastes like rasberry sweetness and boring wheat malts. Bizarre aftertaste of something that seems less than natural (probably extract). It’s like the LCBO strives to bring us the most mediocre-at-best beer they can find. wilderthanyou (415), Guelph, Ontario, Canada
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 28, 2009 I Love Southern Tier i just wish the LCBO would get some common sense and pick some of there really good beers instead of just there really mediocre beers. As far as raspberry wheat beers go, this one has pretty weak game but I still enjoyed it. Pours a weak fizzy yellow with a thin white head which instantly dies. The aroma as you can imagine is raspberry syrup, and maybe the lightest hints of grassy hops. The flavour is pretty much the same with a sweet raspberry flavour upfront, some dry wheat in the middle, and then just carbonation flavour in the end. Pretty flippin one dimensional, may aswell have not even bothered to call this a wheat beer, but still not offensive in anyway.
