Taste is ok, bordering on artificial, but I also found it quite refreshing. Not as bad as these reviews make it out to be, but not great by their standards either. Bottle: Tart raspberry candy aroma with little else. It pours a transparent gold with a small white head that quickly fades to a spotty film. the flavor is watery raspberry sweetness with some faint grassy bitterness in the finish. Thin fizzy mouthfeel. Nate (2575), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Sep 3, 2007 Draught at Bocktown. Sweeet nose. Raspberry but can’t tell if it’s real fruit or not. Predominant aroma, very little hoppiness. Clear pale straw yellow clear with thin foamy lacing head. Light watery body with medium carbonation. Starts fairly dull with weak American wheat base, light sweet, mild grain. Raspberry flavor. Light sweet clean finish with very little bitterness in the finish. Mild after. Meh. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 27, 2008 Have had this one in the fridge for a while also. But still good raspberry aroma on the nose. Yellow body with white fizzy head that goes flat rather quick. Lot better flavor than the last fruit beer just rated as more fruit flavors were present along with some dry tart. Leaves a dry wheat and berry aftertaste leaving you lingering for water. Good thing I’m at home and not in the desert. Think I got this from either Summer Secret Santa 07 or could been Dorwart of Eaglefan anyway thank you. GregClow (2516), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 26, 2008 Bottle sample at Southern Tier beer dinner, Academy of Spherical Arts. Light yellow-gold with a small white head. Attractive aroma of sweet raspberry jam with a faint herbal note. Crisp, refreshing body. Pleasant flavour of fresh raspberries with light malt and hop notes to balance. Definitely one of the better fruit wheats I’ve tried. jgb9348 (2515), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA
| 1.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 3/20 | Sep 12, 2008 Clear golden coloured body with a super large foamy white head mellowing out to a short top. Aroma of fresh raspberries, icing sugar, wheat and a bit of yeast. Medium-bodied; Super strong funky gross malt on the top with a potent yeast that is super powerful. Aftertaste shows horribly bitter yeast/malt and a mild raspberry flavour, but there is no getting past the bitterness. Overall, a pretty bad offering - my first major disappointment from Southern Tier - but it’s definitely not a good beer. One to avoid without a doubt! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased on 12-July-2008 from Oliver’s Beverage in Albany, New York, on 11-September-2008 at home in Washington. OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 5, 2007 12oz bottle pours golden with a short white head and some lace. Aromas of raspberry over frosted flakes. Flavor is raspberry, frosted flakes, good sweetness throughout. Nice crisp and clean palate makes this quite refreshing and a good summer beer. dkachur (2441), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 6/20 | Mar 14, 2008 Bottle from Wine Warehouse in Charlottesville. Pours a light peach colored with no head. Aroma of strong raspberry with a subtle hint of bitterness. Honestly... where’s the wheat? This is more of a raspberry soda. This tastes a lot like a Poland Spring variety I drink while I’m at work!
