Commercial Description:
Don't let Tripel's light color and delicate aroma fool you, this is one serious beer brewed with maximum effort. First, we introduce freshest barley to crystal filtered water. Second, we add the best hops shipped directly for Europe. Third, our special yeast is the catalyst for fermentation, gobbling sugar and creating alcohol as it works. Some say that the Belgian monks who first brewed this style called it triple to denoted its high alcohol content. Still others believe triple's origins lay in its triple fermentation; twice in the brewery and once in the bottle. Whatever the answer, ours is the Tripel threat.

22 oz. bomber. Smells more American than Belgian. Sweet. Some orange in the nose. Hazy gold. Small, white head. Some lace. Very little visible carbonation. This beer is a treat. Sweet, with honey and orange peel. A nice moderate hop finish. A delicious and enjoyable beer. Perhaps not 100% to style, but nevertheless grossly underrated.

22 oz bottle, cellared 18 months. Foggy cream soda with light white froth. Nose of sweet apple-peach and orange peel with light butterscotch. Sharp carb; buttery then dry and resiny. Taste begins with lemon candies; dried apricots then quinine and pine oil. Lingering alcohol. Grew on me but finish a bit harsh.

Bomber courtesy/shared with ’Naka. Pours a hazy orange color with amber hues. Nose of malt and spice, with a touch of citrus and floral notes. Decently medium-bodied, spices dominate, Very dry finish, with a touch of bitterness. It really doesn’t have the big malt profile that I’ve seen in other tripels. Not a bad beer, but not necessarily a tripel in any sense of the word.

22 oz. bottle my mother-in-law picked up from the brewery - Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a half finger thick white head. The head was a little small compared to previous Tripels I’ve poured in the past. Oh well, maybe it’s the way I poured it. Anyways it faded pretty quick leaving faint spotty lacing. Aroma is sweet malt and hops. Flavor is malty, but a little more bitter than I expected. No yeast or heavy esters in this one. Has an odd lingering taste on the palate. Medium body. This beer doen’t quite strike me as a Tripel. I’m no expert by any means, but it’s not like the others I tried. Still, worth a try.

Bottle: This may be one of the most apealing beers I have ever viewed in a glass. A clear and radiant amber with just a ring of head in the tulip. Nose is malts and candi sugar a bit waxy too. Solid carbonation but yet a minimal head. Maybe the glass had some residue left. First taste states a belgian style but again...you wouldnt know it from cellar temp. It does not hit you like most big brews do and is very drinkable. Bottle Note. I do enjoy the minimalist reserve on the labels of the 4 brewI hav etried from them... a similar motifof bubbles and wheat in separate clors. all bottles lack any commercial description or any pretentios scribblings. That sort of thing seems to be getting overdone in a frenzy of sales techniques. Anywho a very enjoyable interpretation of a belgian style. I agree with the slob...triple light

Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aromas of citrus and coriander. Not as sweet as I would have liked. Not a great triple.

Smells of sugar and alcohol. Cloudy orangish hue. Sweet candy sugars, nice hop balance, and surprisingly covers up the alcohol very well dispite the smell. Thicker than average but nothing special. This beer was very strange to me because although pretty good, di not taste much like a tripel like a few other people have said.

Hazy, straw colored, with a smallish white head. Nose is sweet, with some grassy hop notes, some honey, and a bit of citric hop aroma that seems out of place. Way too bitter for the style. Rather musty, with some grass and earth notes in there, as well as some very faint hints of orange. Not very sweet. Very much off-style, but a decent beer nonetheless
