Commercial Description:
Don't let Tripel's light color and delicate aroma fool you, this is one serious beer brewed with maximum effort. First, we introduce freshest barley to crystal filtered water. Second, we add the best hops shipped directly for Europe. Third, our special yeast is the catalyst for fermentation, gobbling sugar and creating alcohol as it works. Some say that the Belgian monks who first brewed this style called it triple to denoted its high alcohol content. Still others believe triple's origins lay in its triple fermentation; twice in the brewery and once in the bottle. Whatever the answer, ours is the Tripel threat.

22oz Bottle. Light gold hazy color. Lacking in Tripel flavor. Not much when compared to top Belgians. Stick to the Hop monsters

Bottle. Light golden in color with a fluffy white head leaving good lace. Very mild in flavor with a bit of breadiness and a touch of sweet fruitiness. Kind of lacking compared to other Tripels. Also, kind of thin in body. Ehh.. rather have a Chimay.

Southern Tier Tripel 12 oz bottle, Jungle Jim’s. 4/17/2007 Clear golden yellow color Frothy near white crown, scant lacing Aroma: Sweet, mildly fruity (apples, pears) and spicy, hint of alcohol Flavor: Yeasty/doughy malt and a little bit of bitterness. Alcohol in flavor and finish. Medium-light body, smooth. Very little carbonation. Good, but average Tripel - not overly complex or interesting.

Pours a watery orange and tawny hue. With a small, bubbly and swirling head. Fruity orange and mild honey caramel flavor. Leaves little in the finish. Alcohol hidden quite well Not a characteristic triple and not very indicative of a Belgian styled ale. Somewhat IPA like.

Bottle that was ever so graciously shared by nolankowal: Hazy golden orange in color with an off white head. Aroma, bready, some pale malts, yeast, and a vegetal note to it. Flavor, bready, that odd vegetable taste, yeasty, some spices to it, kinda tangy, and a metallic finish. I did not enjoy this.

22 oz bomber. Pours a clear golden honey color with a medium white head. Aroma of lemon, honey, pears, and candy corn. Taste is slightly sweetened like candy sugar with faint hints of spicy autumn apples, yeast and corriander. A weak version of a belgium trippel. Not much dark fruit taste like the better belgiums.

22oz bomber pours amber cloudy with a short offwhite head. Aromas of apple pear, yeast, corriander, and a little candi sugar. Flavor is yeasty with notes of pear, apple, candi sugar, corriander and a touch of raisn. Medium body with above average carbonation and a soft mouthfeel. Fair for a tripel but really just average overall
