Jun 6, 2006 22oz - Aroma of Belgian yeast, candi sugar, orange peel, and hops. Pours a clear yellow/orange with a small head and decent lacing. Flavor is sweet bread dough, bubblegum, citrus, and coriander with a bit of an alcohol burn. Palate is sweet and sticky. A tasty tripel, but not overly complex for the style.

Jun 3, 2006 Updated: Jun 12, 2006A very standard look to it. A macro looking color, an unusually even steady white foam head that dissappears into a thin layer on the top. The aroma is light, but nice. Some hops, grass, lemon. The taste is hop-malt combo (in that order).

May 29, 2006 (22oz bottle) Clear amber body with medium white head. Aroma is moderately sweet, orange, some clove, dusky, light alcohol. Taste is moderately sweet, orange, peach, candi sugar, some dusky, light herbal. Light alcohol in the finish. Medium-full body, some creaminess, light sticky.

May 6, 2006 Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, jerc & tupalev -- courtesy of tupalev. Pours a clear sparkling dark gold with a small diminishing white head. Aroma is spicy yeast, fruit, sugar and alcohol. Flavour’s also spicy with yeast and alcohol -- too sweet for my liking. Medium bodied. Not bad but ultimately dissapointing.

Spicy, peppery taste, some alcohol, yeast. Not a bad triple! Does become a little harsh as it warms. Hoppy. Not too bad, but just a little bland.

May 5, 2006 Bottle (650ml). Shared with blankboy, GregClow, jerc and tupalev - tupalev’s bottle. Poured pale gold, nicely bubbly, with an average off-white head. Pleasant aroma of alcohol, light yeast and spices (quite peppery), noticeable hop bitterness. Taste ... starts okay, strong alcohol with black pepper and yeast sharpness, but there’s an unusual grain character for the style, and the hop bitterness ultimately merges with the alcohol to dominate - warming, but a little too much, off-balance and off-style. Mouthfeel is lively and a bit harsh, a long bitter finish. Needs more malt and yeast character - starts okay, I don’t like where it ends up.

May 5, 2006 Bottle. Golden body with a small white head that fades. Spicy peppery aroma. Similar flavour, alcohol is moderately prominent. Less malt than I like in my triples. Average palate could be more full for the style.
