COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
“a galaxy of taste in every bottle” It is through the movement of the universe that life presents itself in transformation. It is in this spirit that we make ÜberSun, a tribute to the dynamic energy of summer. The alignment of wheat and barley through this hop-infused brew embodies the solar system itself... This may be a difficult task, but one our brewers revel in! They brew a galaxy of taste into every batch. ÜberSun is the ultimate experience that will challenge you with each sip. ÜberSun Imperial Summer Wheat Beer takes off where our Hop Sun finishes. Like it’s little brother, ÜberSun is clean and full of flavor, but don’t pull an Icarus– this is one big beer! Pour a glass or drink straight from the bottle, it’s meant to be consumed wisely with friends between summer solstice and autumnal equniox. 8.0% abv • 5ºL •

Bottle shared at De Molen tasting. Aroma is malts, wheat and cardboard. Flavour is sweet without much hops and some alcohol. Imperial wheat sounds interesting, but the bottle is too old.

7/4/2010. From bottle. Hazy yellow-orange color with a white head. Wheat aromas with light spice, fruit and citrus. Light hoppy flavors with fruit and spices showing. Good on a hot day.

Rated on 8-16-2009 (Bottle) This beer forms a large frothy, very fizzy white head with a short retention, transparent yellow body, visible carbonation, and a fair amount of lacing. The Aroma is malty, wheat, floral, citrus hops, sweet, fruity, and lightly spicy. The Taste is sweet, alcohol, malty, wheat, lightly spicy, bitter, fruity, and hoppy. The Palate is tingly and this beer is medium bodied. Overall, a bit of a different take for this beer style and worth trying.

Reviewed on 8/26/10. This beer is now retired and that is a real shame. I found a few bottles in a liquor store in Maryland - I don’t even think they knew what great stuff they had. Ap: Very cloudy, light orange, with a slight head, and a generous amount of carbonation. Ar: Hoppy, tangy, citrusy, but still identifiable as a wheat based beer. T: Bitter like an IPA, but it doesn’t have the same grapefruit sizzle. I love the orange finish on this one! It gets even better after every sip. P: Very comfortable drinker with soothing carbonation and mild alcohol presence. O: One of the best summer beers NOT available anymore. This is a beer geek’s "lawnmower" beer.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass; no bottle dating, but probably over 3 years old. Pours hazy golden orange color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin lace cap that lingers. Slight spotty lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of honey, wheat, bread, light caramel, grapefruit, orange, floral, grass, pepper, clove, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of malt and hop notes; with solid strength. Some light oxidation is present, but not bad. Taste of honey, wheat, bread, light caramel, floral, orange, grapefruit, grass, pepper, clove, and earthy yeast spiciness. Good amount of earthy pepper spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of honey, wheat, bread, citrus, floral, grass pepper, clove, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Light oxidation present in the taste as well, but not bad. Very nice balance of malt and hop flavors; with good malt/spiciness balance and no cloying flavors after the finish. Light carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a creamy and slick mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with hardly any warming noticed after the finish. Overall this a very good imperial wheat beer, even with the age. Good balance of malt, hop, and spicy flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

Slightly hazy golden amber colour, white head. Aroma of malts, some hops, sweet, candy and wheat. Quite sweet flavour, light sour touch, bubblegum and candy. Finish sweet malty, candy and yeast.

Bottle @ Kiss The Kitchen Floor or better known as ZZT VI (2013): kindly shared by DutchDrebus: Small white head which turns into a thin lacing on top of a hazy dark yellow to orange colored beer. Aromas of peach, chalk, marzepin, hint of spices, wheat, vanilla and some carbo gass. Flavours of candy sweets, fruits like peach and apricot, wheat, vanilla, light spicy, creamy and light bitter. Aftertaste of malts, light spicy and a light bitterness. Low carbo, soft creamy mouthfeel, full body and a creamy oily texture. Good beer.

Zzt bottle. Opaque dark yellow body. Very malty nose, cookie dough, flour. Very full bodied, barley wine-like profile. Nice balance between mild hops and malts. Good drinkability.

Sampled from bottle @ ZZT VI. Clear golden color, small white to off-white head. Weird smell. Taste wheat, lightly sweet, alcohol. A bit weird aftertaste. Medium body and carbonation.
