Commercial Description:
“a galaxy of taste in every bottle” It is through the movement of the universe that life presents itself in transformation. It is in this spirit that we make ÜberSun, a tribute to the dynamic energy of summer. The alignment of wheat and barley through this hop-infused brew embodies the solar system itself... This may be a difficult task, but one our brewers revel in! They brew a galaxy of taste into every batch. ÜberSun is the ultimate experience that will challenge you with each sip. ÜberSun Imperial Summer Wheat Beer takes off where our Hop Sun finishes. Like it’s little brother, ÜberSun is clean and full of flavor, but don’t pull an Icarus– this is one big beer! Pour a glass or drink straight from the bottle, it’s meant to be consumed wisely with friends between summer solstice and autumnal equniox. 8.0% abv • 5ºL •

Bottle: Poured a nice shiny light orange-yellow with a poofy white, well-pock-marked top. The aroma carries the 3 feet to my olfactory senses ... an intriguing blend of wheaty citrus and an obvious hint at the high gravity. Interestingly, the beer doesn’t drink with any sense of the 8%. Instead, it drinks with quite the sweet fruitiness, and even a little bit of a floral hoppiness. Quite delicious and quaffable, a unique offering, and different for a wheat beer. Excellent. Too bad I’m drinking it at Christmas -- this would be an excellent picnic beer. (#3260, 12/21/2007)

Pours bright gold with a thin loose white head. Bright, fresh, very sweet fruit and summer blossoms hop aroma over light malt and alcohol notes. Lots of sweet fruity hops and wheat malt flavors with significant alcohol sweetness that somehow manages to not be heavy at all. This is complimented by significant, well-balanced bitterness. Very interesting and enjoyable.

Pours golden with few big bubbles and a very fine white head. Strong doughy aroma, sweet apples as well. Bitter yeastiness overwhelms in the first taste. Very Belgian. Doughy malt, sweet and a good amount of floral hops. Alcohol is well hidden and it is definitely not all that hot. A little bit grassy, some banana and apple. Fuller mouthful, delicately carbonated. Mmmmmmm....Great beer! gives New Glarus imp weizen a run for its money.

Very hoppy nose of perfume, berries, evergreen & citrus. Pours a clear golden straw. The creamy/frothy off-white head is mostly lasting and leaves fair lace. Great balance, supremely refreshing. High acidity, sweet middle, long perfumed finish. The medium dry body is soft to lively. The finish feels dry.

Pours a slightly hazy dark yellow gold color with nice thick amount of froathy bubbly white head. Aroma is a ton of citric hops - specifically oranges and grapefruit. Flavor has sweet malt base, bit carmely, and a nice citric hop finish that isnt too abrasive. Overall, very nice beer.
