bomber and it was older...so the hops were a bit sweeter than fresh...just my opinion. the aroma was strong hop sweet and floral. the taste was quite good since i have his this before...the solid malt backbone and the hops are well balanced. if my bottle wasnt as old as it was i know it would taste better..but i do love this beer and brewery.

Pours a clear golden orange on tap with thin white cap and moderate lacing. Aroma of strong citrus hops and a slight caramel pale malt back. Taste follows, bitter finish that leaves a burn on the way down. Big and ballsy DIPA, well done.

Beerenberger (779) - Fischer, Texas, USA - MAY 15, 2013
A fruity nose with notes of caramel. Pours a clear amber with white ring and no lacing. The taste is primarily bitter. Orange, and caramel malts, up front followed by grapefruit/pine in the dry finish with a pleasinly bitter aftertaste. Medium body with crisp carbonatin. Overall, while this is a hop forward beer, they are used to inhance the flavor, not rip your taste buds out. The notes of orange and caramel are nice additions. Would drink again.

Very clear light copper pour. Medium eggshell head. Lots of lacing. Massive grapefruit and pine aroma. Little to no malt aroma. Flavor is still big on grapefruit, but more citrus like lemon. Very light malt bready sweetness. Very dry bitter finish. ---Rated via iPhone

On tap at Ridgewood (Raleigh) Nice golden color with mild aroma. An unsubtle yet not-overpowering hoppiness. Ranks as another good warm weather-outside-on-the-deck beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: MAY 8, 2013 Fruktig å inslag av gräs i doften. Lite gräsiga toner å sötma i smaken. Bra dubbel IPA dock något för söt för full poäng

Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Medium to full sized beige head that leaves nice lacing and lasts for a decent while. Color is slightly hazy orange. Aroma has malts, a malty sweetness, pine, hops and a lot of resin. Taste malts, a light sweetness from the malts, lots of resin, hops, pine and spruce, lightly tropical fruits and grapefruit. Sticky texture, full body, medium carbonation. Nice!

Dark clear amber with an inch of orangish white head. Citrus and malt scent, strong lavender like florals with fresh soap and juicy citrus scents. Above average carbonation, thick syrupy mouth feel, dry but not dry bitter finish. A little heat that is caused from the abv. Taste is slightly watery, bit pine hop or resin taste with a hint of tropical fruits as well. Strong bitter malt backbone. Fairly easy to drink. Pretty good standard imperial.
