Nov 26, 2009 Pours a honey red brown with a thin cream head and minimal lacing. Aromas of caramel, dough, grass, floral. Tastes slightly funky, grapefruit, and floral with a bit of alcohol, but not overwhelming.

Nov 21, 2009 Bottle via coldbrewky. Pours a clear golden orange with a medium white head. Aroma is hops, bread, and malt. Piney hops dominate, with some citrus hops and a malty bready taste in the back. Smooth, noticeable alcohol but not hot. Nice.

Nov 21, 2009 Small offwhite head. Orangey body. Strong strawy mango and citrus aroma. Sweet-bitter alcoholic fruity toffee taste with chalky oily notes. Hot alcoholic mouthfeel. Mid-bodied. Bitter strawy alcoholic citric aftertaste is a bit sharp. A bit too sharp, in fact. Still, a very good beer. (0.65l bottle from David L.)

Nov 20, 2009 Pours clear amber with a thin white head. Aroma is powerful hops but with a background of sugary sweet malts, maybe even a bit of toasted bread. More malty than I was expecting. There’s definitely some hop flavor, but its dominated by a deep malty flavor, with noticeable alcohol. Liked the oak aged version more.

Nov 19, 2009 Deep orange gold colour, with a white foamy head. Aroma is juicy hops, floral, grapefruit and piney. Lots of grapefruity hops at the start, with some floral notes in the middle. Lots of hop mostly balanced by the sweet fruity malts. Finishes is clean and smooth bitterness.

Nov 18, 2009 Pours copper orange with a pretty off-white head and sweet fruity aroma. With each sip, there is initially a sweet caramel malt flavor that is quickly overcome by hop bitterness. The waxing and waning of malt and hops produces an interesting melding of tastes and a very drinkable brew. Well-crafted.

Nov 16, 2009 Pours a light amber color with a slight head. Aroma is a cirtus, hop, caramel mixture that smells delicious! Taste begins with a strong hop presence but balanced with the caramel malt and the end. Delicious!

Nov 15, 2009 This is one of the best Imperial IPA’s I ever had! The flavor is a bit on the simple side which is why I still hold beers like Dogfish Head 90 Minute in higher esteem but what it lacks in complexity it makes up for is brute strength. It is a full bodied, luscious and powerful beer, very satisfying to drink and long lasting in its finish. Glad I had the good fortune to try this one.
