Clear deep amber with a tall off-white head. Last shot from the bottle pours yeasty and cloudy. Big malt aroma supported fully by a grapefuity hops. Well balanced flavor that follows the aroma. The flavor profile leans slightly to the malty side. Big body, sticky palate. Iíd like another please.

Pours amber with a scarce off white head. smells of citrus and sweet grass with minor breaddy elements. Tastes of wildflowers with peppery splashes and a lot of alcohol burn. Iím not getting the hype surrounding this one.

this beer was very very good. I great american IPA. Strong aroma - it lets you know whats coming. Which is crisp dry hoppy almost syrup. Reminds me of Dogfish head 90minute. and 11% is nice

22 oz bottle. Clear orange brown with traces of white head. Sweet floral hops invite. Chewy with a good bitter carb bite, Grapefruit and orange creamsicle. Long finish leaves some pine and caramel. Well crafted showing good balance. Fresh and juicy.

22 oz bottle, from either sliffy or black95tt (oops, canít remember! but thanks!) my first impression of this one was WOW.... monstrous malt and hops exude out of the light amber liquid, the malt is quite nutty and has notes of unsalted sunflower seeds; the hops have a huge spectrum. grass, citrus, pine, dirt - very earthy hops flavors as well, ironic considering its name! excellent beer - almost too big for its own britches. donít really notice the 11% but somehow i can tell itís there....

UPDATED: OCT 30, 2007 22 oz. bottle via trade with OhioDad - Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a light off white head. Very light carbonation and spotty lacing. Aroma is citrus and pine. Flavor is resiny SWEET with a strong hop presence. A tad bit more malt flavoring would ne nice. A medium to full bodied beer. Very nice. Thanks Scott.

Very good smell and a very powerful double IPA! Nice hoppy taste making for a good IPA flavor. Great IPA!

22oz bottle-deep orange with a small fizzy white head around the rim of the glass. nose of dirty, musty, resinous hops-quite earthy and dirty with lots of caramel malt. quite a bit of resitual sweeness as well. I think this bottle maybe oxidized-it was barely filled to the neck of the bottle. flavors are dirty and somewhat aged malt profile with a ton of sweetness. malt profile comes off as being an overly sweet bigfoot clone without the piney hops to balance it out. lots of sweet alcohol kick here. very unbalanced. pretty much a train wreck for a IIPA. I cant stand Chinook hops for bittering other than in Bigfoot. Its a dirty, nasty hop that should only be used in small amounts.

This is a powerful IIPA. HUGE floral nose with hops abounding everywhere. Taste is quite nice, not too sweet and not too bitter, well balanced. Big time IIPA and big time good.

Clear bodied, orange/amber, short white head with moderate lacing. Aroma is piney but also some sweet malt. I enjoyed the grapefruit juicy hoppiness with the slightly caramel malts. Finish is long and bitter. Very easy to drink - didnít notice the 11% at all.
