3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 kidmartinek (2453) - austin, Texas, USA - APR 5, 2013
A pale copper beer with a white head. Aroma is hoppy and oily and bitter. Taste is sweet and creamy and reminds me of cream soda. Medium body. Doesn’t taste as high abv as it is which is nice. Good imperial for the ladies with a sweet tooth?
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 youdictategood (234) - Florida, USA - APR 5, 2013
On tap.Clear orange pour with a large white head. Hop-heavy aroma with some citrus and a little earth/funk in the background. Definitely a big hoppy taste, with a decent bit of grapefruit and just enough malts to balance out the bitterness. Really good for the style.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 TomTron (295) - Aiken, South Carolina, USA - APR 2, 2013
Haven’t had this in years and decided I need another go around. Aromas of pine sap, caramel, and mother earth. Flavor is just how I remember, a superbly balanced DIPA. The hops are in full force but there is a giant amount of malts that balance out everything. My first ST offering I ever tried, so I’m biased but I do love this beer, it is worthy of the rating. CHEERS!

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 bigalittlea (12) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 21, 2013
pours a dull reddish orange with a head/lacing that just doesn’t go away.
aroma is purely pine/spruce - smells not unlike a christmas treee
taste is a bit more mild than one would expect from the aroma, but still heavily dominated by hops. think it’s kind of lacking balance in that sense. a bit of a biscuity, undercooked bread finish. but pretty much hops through and through, and not dynamic ones.
kind of boring in my opinion? hides its alcohol well but this is a pure hop bomb, and i don’t really say that in a good way. only southern tier beer i havent loved.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 RedCloud (121) - Rhode Island, USA - MAR 15, 2013
Pours an orange amber, with wheat-colored head, which leaves a bit of lacing. Smell is slightly nutty, and spicy, with light citrus. Taste starts with caramel and earthy grains, and transitions into vegetable, cedar, with a bitter and earthy carrot finish.
