Pours a slightly golden looking amber color and leaves the same colored body with a slim white one finger head that dies drastically pretty much within several seconds, well before I was able to snap a picture, some light stringy looking lacing tries to cling but slides for the most part. The aroma has a slight pine, but also resinous hops combined nicely with some earthy hops, pretty well done in my opinion. The taste has a sticky sweet pine running all over my taste buds, sticky pine-like aftertaste, slightly dry but somewhat bitter yet sweet finish. Its fairly easy on the palate but still at the same time, slightly not. Carbonation seems to be very well done. Overall, the best thing about this is how it rolls over the mouth and tongue. Solid!

Bottle (12 oz). Thanks to TheJester for this one. Clear amber with a medium mostly lasting beige head and good lacing. Aroma is of caramel, resinous notes, grass and light fruity notes. Taste is of caramel, resinous notes, light fruits, loads of residual sugar and moderate bitter finish. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Sirupy mouthfeel. Lack of balance. Too much malt/caramel. Not easily drinkable, nor quenching. Mouthfeel is weak. This brewery isnít about finesse...

650 ml bottle. Pours a dark copper color with moderate head. Aromas of toffee, pine, and toasted malts. Similar rich flavors with the addition of pineapple and brown sugar. Chewy. Bitter finish but not overly so. Great.

This is a beast of a 2XIPA, hot damn! Pine, citrus, spice all up in the hoppy nose. Slightly sweet maltiness with a fading bitter finish. Highly recommend to any hop fan out there.

22 oz bottle. Light amber color, malt heavy nose. Malty, well balanced double. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a cloudy golden color with a short eggshell colored head. Sticky suds lace the glass away strictly as the head subsides. Big malty nose with some harsh hop aroma getting expressed. Smooth, slick, possibly oily mouthfeel. Some fine scrubbiness and some warmth occurring as well. This is a big beer. Without having looked, I would assume this fella has ample alcohol given itís large malt profile, evident 100+ IBU count, and warmth. Toffee and fruity flavors.

Very nice DIPA. Intense taste and aromas but without the super malt taste of most DIPAs. I was very pleased

No bottle date. A: pours a hazy amber ale with under a single finger of tan foam which falls slowly to a broken sheet of the same with tortuous billows. Ringed lace. S: This smells like sweet malts and some piny hops. Not much else. I fear this beer sat on the shelves for quite some time. That being said, the base malts smells of caramel and caramelized sugar. T: Tastes like a sweet American style Barley Wine. Not impressed as an IPA goes. The malts are sweet and toffee like with hints of oxidation which has developed the malt nicely. M: A hare thin on the body and low on the carb with a small slickness on the finish. O: Well, I wish I knew the bottle date on this beer. I know itís not particularly new (as Iíve heard theyíve gone through a label change), but nonetheless, I know their beers to be generally sweet. As a result, Iím stuck believing this is relatively along the lines they intended. As an IIPA, this is far from hopped enough. Serving type: bottle 09-22-2011
