12 oz bottle pours amber with a off white head. Aroma of citrus, pine, fruit and caramel. Taste is citrus, malts and a nice bitter finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Had this one on-tap at Boat Works in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. The pour is a really nice light orange sort of color with a decent amount of lacing. The smell is decidedly malty, actually, with a good hop prescence, but it’s not a DIPA that’s bursting from the seams with hops. The flavor is similar -- a crystal/pale malt flavor is pretty high, but alright, just not what I expected. A nice sweet hoppiness that’s more fruity than piney. Kind of pale ale-esque, actually. Pretty good mouthfeel. 91 overall...? Eh. I think it’s the malts used, but there’s a flavor that I’m not huge on. A very nice, easy drinking beer that I’d surely have again, but it’s not a GREAT brew. Alcohol is hidden flawlessly though, and it’s quite drinkable. Nice one, but far from Southern Tier’s finest.

Medium gold pour, thin head. Nose is floral hops with a hint of alcohol. Bitter. Middle is marmalade and cream. Finish shows a fair amount of alcohol and a pleasant, even, hop bitterness with great depth and length.

Bottle-Poured cloudy golden amber color with thick pillowy head. Aroma is your typical DIPA : citrus, pine and earthy grainy malt. Taste is spot on for style, not overly bitter and has great balance. Has a medium body and finish is smooth and somewhat dry. Overall an excellent beer, alcohol is barely noticeable and very easy to drink for a IIPA!

Poured into tulip. A nice light copper color with 2 finger white head, light carbonation. Smells good. Citrus, pine, mango, yum! The taste is a bit sweet like honey, then a bit of toffee from the malt leads to spiciness and a nice assaulting bitterness. Palate is medium and oily. This beer is pretty balanced of bitter and sweet! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

651 ml. bottle. ABV 9.5% per the label. Pours a thin, but well retained, ivory head, with some lacing, over a clear medium amber (SRM 12) body.....nose is lightly toasted malts, with cereal tones, light floral notes from the hops, minimal esters......taste is sweet malts to start, minimal hints of toffee/caramel, leading to light floral tones, licorice hints, citrus, primarily hints of orange peel, pine, resin tones, and a final ever so slightly harsh, lingering bitterness......mouth feel, medium body, alcohol warmth present, sticky, slight acid finish, carbonation low. This is quite typical of the style. It is well balanced. There is pleasant complexity in both the malt and hop backbones in aroma and flavor. The only flaw is the slightly harsh bite of the finishing bitterness, which may be slightly older hops. BJCP 8/3/15/5/7

Flaska från Brill. En riktigt fin Östkust-DIPA i min smak. Krämig, mjuk, rejäl kropp med fin krispig grön humle med mycket mjuk fruktighet, främst grön och gul citrus, tallskott, persika, gräs, karamell. Snäll beska. Rätt stor sötma. Mycket trevlig.

Grassy dirt piney aromas, slightly citrus. Tastes a little bit like hay and bitter hops. Green wood, herbs. Good balance. Floral. Sweet. Ripened tart fruit.

Sharp resinous, piney hop aromas. Clear orange-copper with a lasting lacey, bubbly, off-white head. Dry, bitter, malts are round and caramelized, great balance, some perceptible strength, a little yeasty at the end. Medium bodied, a little sticky, lingering hops atop a hefty malt backbone, lingering hop bitterness with a touch of alcohol.

Bottle during March Madness. Aroma hits you with floral hops and backs it up with more hop resin. Color is light orange and the IPA sports a glass-clinging head. Heavy handed on the hops. Alcohol is actually well-hidden. Taste obviously leans on the hops but it really works. End is satisfying. I would unearth this one again.

Big bottle. Copper with white head and good lacing. Aroma is slight. Hoppy , but balanced with some grapefruit and malt elements. Hops are strong and crisp. Aggressive, but works. The pine resin finish is a lot. Maybe too much. Good beer.
