4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Definitely has a hoppy smell, but there are more layers to it - not just a hop bomb. Aggressive but not overly sweet malt bill to balance things out. Nice natural grassy aroma. Pours a dark golden color with a lot of carbonation and a fairly large white head of foam. Nice, refreshing, easy drinking taste. Hops are present, but subdued - you can barely tell it’s a DIPA. Honey-like taste in the background, sort of like Bells Hopslam. Great served cold on a hot summer day. I could drink this one out of the bottle while barbecuing. Palate is just oily/slick enough, just fizzy enough. Again, a great balance. I really enjoyed this one; I will be sure to remember it. Sometimes you don’t want a hop assault, you just want a nice refreshing beer. While other DIPAs are all trying to outdo one another to see who can have the most hop bitterness, Unearthly has carved out a niche as being the easy drinking one. Well done, Southern Tier.

Clear, mid amber,
Middle body, intense and complex flavor, well rounded and elegant mouthfeel, well placed alcohol heat, lingering palate.
Bittersweet tastes in great balance,
Hoppy, floral, malty.

Ok... I’m all for hops but yeah... It almost stings. It’s extremely bitter for how strong of a beer this is. Normally big beers like this end up a little more balanced but Idk, maybe this is southern tiers war on enamel... Or more likely there in cohoots with dentists because I think I just acid burned a hole in my tooth then got a cavity around the hole...

Little on the sweeter side of IPAs, lemon citrus, hops, wet finish, mild carbonation, nice head but doesn’t hold long

Strong start with a complex finish. Lots of stone fruits. Not one of my favorites from southern tier, but solid

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a cloudy amber orange with a one finger off white head with decent lacing. Aroma is of pine, citrus, sweet malts, caramel, and some herbal hops. Taste is pine, citrus, herbal hops, sweet malts, caramel, pepper, and some rye. Has a medium body with a oily, semi creamy mouthfeel and a semi-moderately bitter, medium-long finish. Overall, a pretty tasty, well balanced DIPA that lean east coast style.

12oz bottle from mix 12. Pours a cloudy golden amber, with a small whie head. Smells of sweet resinous hops, with the sweetness being especially strong. Taste pretty much follows with a relatively bitter taste being beaten by the alcohol at the finish. Relatively light bodied with good carbonation, leaves quite a resinous taste in your mouth.
