3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma of significant grapefruit, white sugar, honey and caramel. Appearance is cloudy gold with white head. Flavor has big grapefruit well balanced by sweet honey and caramel malts. Palate is bubbly. Good, but not jaw-dropping; I could have used a bit more hop assertiveness for a DIPA.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
750 mL at home. Amber colored w/ rather substantial light brown head. Good legs on this one. Definite malt aroma mixed with earthy and floral hops. I love a strong IPA that balances strong hops with sturdy malts. This beer is creamier than I expected without being too heavy on the palate. I really enjoy the mouthfeel, but the finish is quite clean with just a hint of bitterness. Definitely more citrus hops taste-wise than the aroma implied, but they fit nicely and donít draw too much attention to themselves. Really well balanced throughout. This is definitely a household favorite.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber. Hazy amber with a thin off white head. Grassy, light pine, orange peel, alcohol and buttery crackers. Taste is sweet, but has a dryly bitter-alcohol finish. Moderately heavy, sticky feel.

A very nice surprise. Fantastic aroma and beautiful color out of the bottle, but strong alcohol on first taste. Much better after sitting for ten minutes.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours beautiful dark orange, with solid head and an everlasting lace that clings to the glass very well. Nice leather, woody, malty, earthy aroma. An awesome taste of hops and earth, aged malts. Medium bodied. The good experience I had with this brew makes me forgiving about the rather short and over alcoholic palate.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tap. I donít know if I got an old sample or something, but the hop aroma on this was lacking compared to my typical expectations for a double IPA. The taste was very smooth without a lot of astringency with some good malt body and an unobtrusive hop flavor. The alcohol was not apparent in the taste. A pretty refined and drinkable DIPA.

22oz bottle. Pours a dark golden color with a small cream-colored head and soft carbonation. Resinous hop aroma with a touch of citrus and pine. Powerful resinous bitter flavor. Medium bodied with lingering bitter finish. Quite good.

650ml bottle shared! The bottle was a year old, so that was probably the cause for the dissapointment. Nice orange copper body with a nice beige foam. The initial aroma was nice and excpected from a DIPA, nice caramel and some hops, but I couldnít really understand any flower or grassy notes... The same on the taste too! Nice start but not the expected finish..The alcohol was also present, something that dissapointed me!! A beer I would like to try as fresh as possible, due to all the good reviews out there!!!!

Cor laranja escuro, com espuma de boa formação e media persistência. Aroma de lúpulo floral e no final cítrico, caramelo, malte. No sabor, amargor equilibrado, com dulçor de caramelo no meio e final seco com amargor persistente. Muito boa.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours amber orange and has a thick beige-orange head. The aroma is of bread, earthy hops, tons of caramel and some flowers. Tastes lile caramel, chamomile but the most strong flavor is of alcohol. It covers everything . Good carbonation, strong aftertaste. Good complex beer but only for one time.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Rated on 8-18-2009 (Bottle) This beer pours a medium sized very fizzy off-white head with a short retention, transparent gold body, fast rising carbonation, and very little lacing. The Aroma is wheat malt, alcohol, pine and citrus hops, grapefruit, and earthy. The Taste is bittere, caramel malt, alcohol, fruity, earthy, and citrus hops. The Palate is sharp and this beer is medium bodied. Overall, this beer has a warming sensation which would be nice for a cold winter day. The various aromas say "drink me"! This is a sipping beer and not for the faint of heart. If it comes your way, try it!
