Bottle poured to glass shaker. Dark yellow / orange cloudy. Little head. Nice lacing. Lots of nice hop flavor with a malt ring that keeps it on the sweet side. nice.

The malt is a bit overpowering. Some honey and sweetness aroma notes. Too much malt and not enough hop bitterness for my preference.

Transfer from BA review on 8-18-12 - Served on tap in a 10 oz chalice glass Appearance – Served a orange/amber color with a one finger white head. The head faded fast to give a decent level of lacing. Smell – The aroma is heaviest of a sweet and citrus hop aroma. The citrus is mainly grapefruit in nature with the sweet being of a caramel aroma. Mixed with these are other hop aromas of a earthy and piney nature. Taste – The taste begins with some caramel sweetness and a good dose of bread and a citrus hop flavor. As the taste moves on the bready flavor grows stronger and is joined by more hops of a earthy and pine nature. Toward the end the earthy flavors overwhelm the citrus. With this larger earthy taste comes a nice oaky flavor which in the end creates a woody taste that is left on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The mouthfeel is slightly higher than average in thickness with a carbonation level that is rather moderate. It is rather fitting for the brew’s oaky and hoppy flavors; allowing all the tastes to sit on the tongue and be experienced, but yet giving just enough carbonation to give an invigorating mouthfeel. Overall – A tasty more earthy and woody flavored IPA. A nice one to try.

Good. Sweet aroma with a nice peppery finish. Hoppy but not overload. Would drink again.

amber color; citrusy hop aroma; a great, very hoppy, bitter IPA with lots of citrusy hop character and a medium bodied malt base and warm alcohol notes

poured from a 22oz bomber, this is a clear orange color with a nice head. I liked the over-ripe fruit aroma and flavor, though my son (who likes sours) did not. The smell is of ripe apricots or plums or cherries, with a bit of pine or spruce resin added when tasted. Mouthfeel is average carbonation, slightly boozy and a bittersweet aftertaste

UPDATED: JUL 20, 2014 Poured from 22 ouncer into tulip glass. Translucent amber with thin white head that breaks down quickly. Scent is floral/ pine hops, strong but not overwhelming. Taste is a good balance of sweet/ malty and bitter/ piney hops. Smooth with no boozy flavor. Nice mouthfeel, not too sharp or carbonated. Overall pretty nice beer, pretty close to a perfect DIPA to me.

22 oz bottle is 9.5%. Pours a clear bright orange caramel color with whit head that leaves moderate lacing. Aroma is malt and a mild piney hop complexity. Flavor is straight ahead dipa. Almost nothing definitive aside from the generalized profile of dipa to set it apart. Maybe it’s because I had some Stone RuinTen just before this. A decent beer.

Again, don’t get this one. Pours a golden color with white head. Floral on the nose, almost too much so; same for the palate. Was like drinking a flower. Also, finishes way too sweet. Like a sugar bomb.

Bother pour. Clean amber, thin head. Orange, glazed donuts, pine resin and young whiskey on nose. Some great. Medium body. Taste follows. Mild booze. Heat throughout.
