COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Imperial stout brewed with pumpkins Warlock is brewed to enchant your palate on its own and also to counterpoint our Imperial Ale, Pumking. Make your own black magic by carefully pouring this Imperial Stout into a goblet.

Dark and mysterious, the Blackwater Series is serious about high gravity. Reanimate your senses with Warlock’s huge roasted malt character, moderate carbonation and spicy pumpkin pie aroma.

On tap (10 oz) @ Parker Pie. Splitted 2 ways with czar, but to be fully honest Franky Boy chugged 2/3 of the glass.

Appearance: Amber brown with a small ring of beige foam and little lacing.

Aroma: Repulsive mix of hazelnut, booze, pumpkin, nutmeg and cola-like notes.

Taste: Surprisingly, it doesn’t taste like poison. A lot of nutmeg, hazelnut, booze and pumpkin shares the scene in a completely unbalanced way. The good thing is that it’s bad enough you probably won’t reach the point where it begin to be cloying.

Palate: Medium body. Medium carbonation. Lingering horrendous spicy finish.

Overall: Another gross creation which only Southern Tier have the secret (please don’t share it). I wouldn’t recommend drinking more than 1 oz of this beer considering Franky Boy’s farts later that day, but hey it’s not like his farts smell the roses when he only drink water... so take this advice with a grain of salt.

on tap at parker pie, vt. unclear light brown, mahogany hue, little to no head. hazelnut-plenty, coca-cola, strong woodsy and almost tannic notes, awkwardly nutmeg- plenty, cherry coke, other miscellaneous red fruitiness, cheap fruitcake, other cheap spices. light carbonation, medium body - oily, boozy and harsh woodsy-spicy finish. horrid stuff.

[6225-20140321] Bottle. Sweet pumpkin pie crust and smooth pumpkin cream aroma. Hazy, dark brown body with medium-lasting foamy light mocha head. Sweet roasted chocolate and pumpkin pie cream flavour. Full body. Delicious, quite drinkable. (8/4/9/5/16) 4.2

Black pour with dark tan head .... Same aroma as pumking with the pie crust feel and the pumpkin pie spices, but has additional dark roasted malts and some chocolate .... Taste is likewise very pumking like....Has a great pie crust flavor to it with a roasted and chocolate malt flavor and of course just the right pumpkin spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice) .... Finish is dry and bitter with a bitter hop punch .... Great brew

Bomber from LCBO, served cool in a tulip glass.

App.: Very deep brown with a so-so tan head. Aroma: Strong cinnamon, lighter clove, a little nutmeg and ginger?, a touch buttery, like fruit cake more than pumpkin pie, not getting much stout aroma. Palate: Medium-full body, fairly creamy with restrained carbonation. Flav.: Quite spicy with plenty of cinnamon, and some lighter clove, nutmeg and ginger, still has a slightly buttery Christmas cake impression with little stout character; sweet with moderate bitterness and a fairly long spice cake finish.

The base beer is big enough to handle the spice load. Still not something I would seek out.

Bomber from Wilbur’s. Appearance: finger tan head, good lacing, head does not last, black/ opaque. Aroma: licorice, light spice, hidden pumpkin notes. Palate: full body, average carbonation, bitter finish, oily texture. Taste: sweet chocolate chips, with pumpkin sneaking up, with spicy notes of hops, finishing with a little bit of licorice and bitterness. Overall, great lasting taste, very subtle undertones, lovely beer, awesome combination of pumpkin and chocolate. Really enjoy.
