COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Imperial stout brewed with pumpkins Warlock is brewed to enchant your palate on its own and also to counterpoint our Imperial Ale, Pumking. Make your own black magic by carefully pouring this Imperial Stout into a goblet.

Dark and mysterious, the Blackwater Series is serious about high gravity. Reanimate your senses with Warlock’s huge roasted malt character, moderate carbonation and spicy pumpkin pie aroma.

22oz bottle from the Craft Ale House in Limerick. I tasted a lot more of the Pumking side of things than an imperial stout. There was a truck-ton of pumpkin, nutmeg and cinnamon in the nose and flavors. I got a subtle hint of roasted malt, bread and bitter and dry hops. I don’t think I’d purchase another bottle of this.

Pours jet black with 2 finger tan head. Smells amazing, pumpkin pie without a doubt. Taste is incredibly pumpkin strong and smooth all the way.

Pours dark brown, finger creamy tan head dissipates quickly, slight lacing. Aroma cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, pure pumpkin, bready, roast malt. Taste spice dominates, slight roast bitterness to balance, pumpkin in background. Mouthfeel medium-full body, medium-high carbonation, balanced finish, a bit on the sweet side, slight roast astringency, very slight alcohol warming. Overall roasty version of Pumking, which cuts through the sweetness well, one of the best pumkins available.

Slightly sweet aroma, wonderful taste. Nice and dark with a thin head. Very drinkable and flavorful..

Bomber from Savor Growl. Deep brown-black pour and thin tan head. Aroma is big spice, caramel, nutmeg. Tastes are pumpkin, chocolate, nutmeg, caramel, cinnamon, crakers. Soapy. I’m not sure why I keep trying pumpkins - not my style. This one is particularly not to my tastes.

Very dark, nearly black with a bubbly beige head. Aroma of pumpkin pie and roast. Tastes like roast, chocolate, and gingerbread. Body more medium than full with a touch of bubbly carbonation. Good.

Forgot this was pumpkin spice. Tastes like ginger bread cookies. Seriously. That’s all you need to know.

Pretty good pumpkin beer…but still a pumpkin beer. Dark pour. Pumpkin, of course, covers most of the aroma and taste. Some charred malts and stout in there. Little bit of nutmeg/banana/clove in there too. Also, a touch of vanilla which I really liked in a pumpkin beer. Not as big of a mouthfeel as I expected. Good, but I was hoping for more.

Full disclosure: I hate pumpkins and I hate pumpkin pie. Still I try to be objective. This thing looks and smells amazing. A bit too thin to be considered a stout and the pumpkin drowns out the other flavors which I don't think is intended. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
