COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Imperial stout brewed with pumpkins Warlock is brewed to enchant your palate on its own and also to counterpoint our Imperial Ale, Pumking. Make your own black magic by carefully pouring this Imperial Stout into a goblet.

Dark and mysterious, the Blackwater Series is serious about high gravity. Reanimate your senses with Warlock’s huge roasted malt character, moderate carbonation and spicy pumpkin pie aroma.

An incredible beer. Pours a deep brown-black with little head. Smells amazing, of horchata, cinnamon, chai and herbs. Taste is smooth, vanilla, chai, more horchata and an earthy finish. Not much pumpkin. Beautiful tasting, one of the best spiced stouts we have had. Another great beer from Southern Tier. Had on tap.

Rated on 10-30-2015 at 800 Degrees Three Fires (Fort Wayne, IN) This draft beer is presented with a very small tan head that is fully lasting, mostly opaque black body, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is sweet, pumpkin, spicy, and roasted malt. This beer’s flavor is roasted malt, spicy, sweet, and some roasted malt. The mouthfeel is moderate carbonation and this beer is medium bodied. Overall, this beer is quaffable, but the flavor is not my thing.

Pours a very dark brown with a small tan head with nice lacing, almost looks like a nitro pour. Mild spice aroma, clove and a hint of vanilla. Terrific flavor, the Pumpkin Spice is right there, moderate sweetness. As Imperial Stouts go, it’s a bit thinner than expected. Overall this is a really beer, if I see another, I’ll give it a go.

Bottle (from 2014). Pours a dark cola color with a minimal, off-white head ringing the glass. Smells of pie spices. The spices dominate the taste, as well. This is really unpleasant... Thin for the style and dry. I really dislike this. Yuk. Can’t finish it.

Draught @ Albion. Dark brown with faint reddish tint, small frothy tan head, chocolate-pumpkin aroma, low carbonation, tastes like mocha with strong sweetish pumpkin, alcohol undertones, medium mocha bitter finish with liquor aftertaste. Nice elements but not fully integrated, one can feel the pumpkin element, the mocha base and the spirits at different instances.

Tap. Near black with one finger head. Doesn’t really taste like a stout. Huge vanilla and moderate spice. No discernable pumpkin, which is good by me. Reminds me a lot of pumking, which is understandable. Outstanding.

22oz bomber from whole foods. Great looking bottle btw. Smell is vanilla and clove. A bit thinner than I anticipated. This tastes really nice. I don’t get any pumpkin but that’s ok with me. This is fine, I can think of a couple stouts is rather have, but the clove is nice and the abv is outrageous.

Tap @ Little Town last Friday night with Maggi and Kyle. Pours dark; nose is pumpkin spice and flavor is pumpkin spice, vegetable. Body was surprisingly thin and watery if memory serves. Wouldn’t have guessed it was a stout.

At PJ Wheelihan's on tap. Dark, dark brown. Vegetable/pumpkin/spice on the nose. Taste of pumpkin, some chocolate. It's ok but I did expect a little better. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle poured a black hue w/ a thin beige diminishing head. Big sweet spicy aromas. Initial flavor is bold sweet w/ a bold bitter finish. Tastes are vanilla, cinnamon, pumpkin, brown sugar, nutmeg, graham cracker, vodka, dark chocolate, dark roasted marshmallow, rum, and grapefruit pith. Full bodied and creamy mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
