4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
[My bottle (650ml) shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, jercraigs & mabel] Pours ruby-brown, almost black, with an average size diminishing frothy light-brown head. Aroma: Nice! Lots of pumpkin along with roasted malt, cream and chocolate. Flavour has lots of pumpkin, lots of spice and roastiness and finally, a spicy bitter finish. Medium bodied. I really like this but a little goes a long way.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle from Wegman’s bill town. Pours black with a thin khaki head. Has a bit of pumpkin on the nose. Can’t say that the pumpkin and the stout is completely convincing for me as a combo. Finishes clean. Eh!

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
I rate this highly because I enjoy the originality. It’s a perfect pumpkin stout. Pumpkin ales tend not to be stouts, and vice versa. The brewers here went out on a limb ...and it works!

4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tap at Mackenzie. Served in a flute like glass. Dark black color. Quickly dissipating head. Aroma is sweet with hints of roasted coffee or cocoa. Vanilla and some caramel. Not an overly aggressive stout. A really smooth flavor with a sweet complexity. Pumpkin pie prevalent. I would definitely recommend it.

Taste: Deep, rich chocolate with caramel and vanilla, hints of black coffee, vanilla and nutmeg cinnamon spice, gradually giving way to pumpkin. Remarkable!

Overall: A perfect imperial stout

I am a huge fan of Pumking and thus when I first heard about this beer I was anxious to taste it. Southern Tier Pumking meets chocolate stout... A deliciously smooth combination of aroma, flavor and appearance. Instantly one of my favorites. I highly recommend this beer to enthusiast and beer lovers all over.

3.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
The aroma is one of the most amazing to date with tons of pumpkin and spices along with caramel and hops. The appearance is dark brown. The taste would be just as amazing if not for a chemical bitterness. The palate is thin but not watery. Overall has the makings of a killer beer but ruined by bitterness.
