COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Imperial stout brewed with pumpkins Warlock is brewed to enchant your palate on its own and also to counterpoint our Imperial Ale, Pumking. Make your own black magic by carefully pouring this Imperial Stout into a goblet.

Dark and mysterious, the Blackwater Series is serious about high gravity. Reanimate your senses with Warlock’s huge roasted malt character, moderate carbonation and spicy pumpkin pie aroma.

Pours near-black with a short-lived finger of tan head. Lactic aromas mixed with pumpkin and a bit of spice (although this may be a result of confirmation bias ;). Flavor starts out with a bit of sweetness that transitions into roasty coffee notes and a pleasantly bitter finish. Smooth and velvety mouthfeel. Although not as good as my beloved Pumking, it’s an interesting variation.

Poured from big bottle. Has that wonderful aroma - pumpkin pie and brownie crust - as Pumking. Stout black with trace of head. Flavors of pumpkin pie, spice, cocoa, creamy malt, trace of coffee and vanilla. Hop presence in back. Another excellent use of the pumpkin by ST.

Pour looks like cola with an inch of beige head. Aroma of popcorn jelly beans, fresh steamed sticky rice, nutmeg, cream, anise cinnamon and other pumpkin pie spices, vanilla. Average carbonation and mouthfeel, sour smokey finish. Earthy pumpkin and yam flavor, vanilla, butter, licorice bitter, sweet chocolate. Not too bad but lots of artificial bitter flavor is off putting. I was expecting better.

22oz bottle pours an inky black with some foamy, off white head. Spicey nose, sweet, marshmellow, brown sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, candied yams. Sweet flavor, brown sugar, caramelized root veg, cinnamon, nutmeg, root beer, vanilla. Sweet but smooth finish.

22 ounce bottle. Pours pitch black. Small tan head dissipates quickly. Huge pumpkin pie aroma. Intense dark roasted malt flavor mixes nicely with the pumpkin pie spices. Lot’s of nutmeg. There’s a lot to this beer. Best when sipped slowly and savored.

In a bottle, thanks ben! A wonderful aroma of spice and grains, tastes just like pumpkin pie, so good!

Draft at Moriartys. Pitch black pour. Whatever head there was disappeared rather quickly. Medium-dark roasted malt flavors. Nutella on burnt toast. Good amount of pumpkin pie spice, though not much pumpkin flavor itself. Charcoal grill. Cashew butter. Peanut butter cup. Nice clean full Pumpkin Imperial.

UPDATED: NOV 9, 2014 Bottle: Thanks, Kevin! Deep brown, edging on black with a khaki foam that settles quickly to a collar. Aroma is very nice; warm nutmeg, cinnamon spice, crispy graham cracker, light ginger, & a hint of roast & cocoa underneath. Taste is similar with lots of cinnamon, nutmeg, graham cracker, & finishing cocoa. There’s an inherent bitterness I could do without, almost like a heavy dirt or ash with high astringency. The aroma is kick ass, though. It smells like I want it to taste, but it doesn’t taste "stout-y" enough for me. Still resembles regular Pumking too much on the palate, with only slight "stout" notes & an unwarranted harshness about it.

Poured from bomber into tulip. Had really mixed feelings about this one. Great aroma...smelled like a pumpkin pie. First sip...same reaction. This tastes like a warm boozy pumpkin pie. Was nice for a bit...then got to be a bit overpowering...then better...then over the top. I would definitely have this again but a bottle for myself is just too much.

Black with a thin white head. Strange vegetal aroma, it doesn’t seem to go with the aroma. It is tasty though.
