Imperial stout brewed with pumpkins Warlock is brewed to enchant your palate on its own and also to counterpoint our Imperial Ale, Pumking. Make your own black magic by carefully pouring this Imperial Stout into a goblet.

Dark and mysterious, the Blackwater Series is serious about high gravity. Reanimate your senses with Warlock’s huge roasted malt character, moderate carbonation and spicy pumpkin pie aroma.

Not as "pumpkiny" as Southern Tier Imperial Pumking and that is a good thing in my opinion. This is a nice fall themed beer with hint of pumpkin, not as intensely pumpkin as other pumpkin beers.

chocolate, medium sweetness, light sweetness, minimal head, black, medium body. Pumpkin ales are something I avoid as a rule, but Southern Tier has a winner with this imperial stout. The pumpkin flavor finish is quite pleasant while not cloying. Tried this first at Willibrew in Willimantic, CT - my thanks to them for pointing me to it!

Bomber. Black cat colored with a circle of light brown foam and bubbles at the top. Aroma is a blend of pumpkin pie spice, graham cracker, roasted nuts and licorice. The flavor delivers a heavy dose of nutmeg, cardamom and pumpkin pie at the start followed by notes of brown sugar, roasted malt and bittersweet chocolate. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with average carbonation and a burnt, dessert spiced finish. Tastes more like an Imperial Stout-inspired Pumpkin Ale than the other way around. Worth trying for Pumking aficionados.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours black with a tan head. Taste pumpkin, slightly sweet. I thought this so so. I could drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours black, minimal tan head. Smell grahm cracker, not very stouty, very much Pumpking. Taste sweet flowery, spicy on tail Less sugary than regular Pumpkin, medium body Decent

This is not your typical review. Hands down the best beer I have ever had. So sweet and so seductive.Unfortunately it is breaking the bank. I’ve bought 4 cases(at 116.00 a case after tax) and around 20 separate bottles(@12.00 a piece). I only have 8 bottles left. Of course I let everyone I know have at least one bottle. If only I could take donations. Well drink’em while you can. They’re almost gone!!! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

Bomber shared compliments of neohippie...thanks for this wonderful tasting beverage. To me not really an imperial stout but more of a fruit/vegetable/herb category. Medium body. The aroma is pumpkin pie and pecan pie blend. Very nutty and aromatic. The flavor is pumpkin pie, crust and all and that nuttiness. Alcohol well hidden but you still get the warmth for it.

22oz bomber into goblet. Pour is black with a finger width of tan head forming afterwards. Aroma is sweet pumpkin with some roasty and vanilla notes. Taste is similar to Pumking but with added roasty chocolate flavors. Dry finish. Full bodied. Pretty damn good as a dessert after a home cooked meal.

Serving: 22 oz. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours an inky black color. Nice nose of spiced pumpkin bread with a slight roasty component. I was thinking this wouldn’t be a good flavor combination. I was pleasantly surprised when I tasted it. Overall on the sweet side, but not cloying. Light cocoa powder notes to go with a heavily spiced pumpkin bread and a slightly floral, bitter finish. Not too heavy on the tongue. Nice holiday dessert beer.
