Bottle. Poured hazy orange brown color with an average off-white frothy head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Solid doughy pumpkin and small alcohol aroma. Bottle @ Exira Beer Summit IV, Day 3. Thanks to jcnielsen! Pours a clear reddish brown appearance with a light brown head. Pumpkin cookie, cardamom, chocolate, vanilla aroma. Somewhat chewy, caramel, very spicy, chalky, cardamom, cinnamon, pumpkin, sweet flavor. Sort of fun to drink at first but then kind of annoying.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bombers from Craft, Whole Foods, Capone’sl and Wegmans. Pours turbid dark brown with tan head. Let me simplify this rating. The taste and smell are exactly like Pumping but with more roasty dark malty notes and slightly less sweetness. I tested this one against a CAO naduro cigar, and it paired well. I love Pumking, but this one kicks it up a notch.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sample at the Ale Wine & Spirits beer tasting on 09/05/2013: Pours a dark cola color that is not quite opaque. Medium khaki head that diminishes steadily to a film, and partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt and pumpkin spices. Medium-bodied with flavors of burnt malt, sweet pumpkin and touches of hops. The finish is sweet with a pumpkin pie aftertaste. Thinner than I was hoping, really tastes like a black and tan made with Pumking. Pretty good overall.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber. Poured medium-deep brown with a toasted beige head. The aroma picked up sweet, somewhat charred black malts (with some cocoa coming through) with sweet pumpkin meat and vanilla around.. sniffing deep brought out peppery notes.. good stuff, but a hair too assertive. The flavor found sweet, moderately-roasted, fairly warm malts at the core (cocoa, molasses, and vanilla mostly) with sharp roast and tasty pumpkin meat around.. pumpkin, nutmeg, vanilla, and burnt black roast on the long, belly-warming finish. Medium-bodied, dry, roasty, and a bit sharp on the palate.. more bitter than I expected.. a little more subtlety would’ve made this great.
